./Allclean blockMesh > blockMesh.log snappyHexMesh -overwrite > snappyHexMesh.log touch snappy_pipe.foam hey using this run script i noticed that inside polymesh 4-5 more folders are getting added and also the boundary folder is getting updated with the only a block code of cylinder but when i simple run with snappyHexMesh in the command prompt the above changes are not happening, i mean to say inside the boundary file there is 3 block codes of moving wall, fixed wall etc.. can you please tell me how this changes occured in short

how did the cylinder boundary occure in the file constant/polyMesh/boundary. I still have the old patches!

I fixed it , just made the Allrun file , gave it chmod 755 and waited till everything ends. Pretty much , my mistake. I leave my comment here in case anyone else encounters the same problem due to incompetence like me.

HI Theo, now I am working on interFoam using DTC hull case tutorial. Currently I am trying to replace the DTC HULL with a simpler Wigley hull and then repeat the simulation (RAS-interFoam). 1) DTC hull and Wigley hull are not in the same size and not in same position, do you have an idea how to make it work? 2) Did you manage to visualize the free surface elevation in paraview? please let me know if you have any hint. hello theo, what you mean by there is a lot of guides for ASCII files for creat the boundaries? i have tryed, exporting each boundary in a separate stl file and merge them with cat command but they are not water tight after doing it. also i tryed autopatch, but it detects too many patches, and i end up with a patch that was supposed to be only one being around 100, is there any other method!? for the moment i got around with your method with topoSet, but my big issue is that i want to put boundary layer in the snappy, and as the patches are created after snappy i dont know how to add them. (also if it is possible to devide them from before the snappy it could be easier...) please, if there is any other guide that you can recommend, i would appreciate it.
