Hi BK Hobby, question i cant find an answer for. Do you know what Telldus is? Im having trouble to get my on/off plugs into OH, i got the bridge online, but my units wont appear. Anything you can help me with?

Hi Jerry. I'm not BK Hobby nor Telldus but I use Telldus in my openHAB setup - and I enjoy following the excellent tutorials from BK Hobby :) I assume you have got the Tellstick bridge up and running correctly or else see www.openhab.org/addons/bindings/tellstick/ A good sign that the bridge is indeed working is that a number of Telldus sensors tend to pop up in the Inbox of the Paper UI. The Tellstick (or equivalent) grabs whatever items it picks up and asks if you'd like to include them in openHAB. Remember that Telldus is one way units; sensors and remote controls send signals to a receiver (e.g. the Tellstick Duo) and actuators like wallplugs and dimmers receive commands from the Tellstick but there is no way you can query e.g a dimer about its state. So in order for OH to be able to discover your plugs, you will probably have to add them to Telldus Core or Telldus Live first. Have a look at the binding info I linked above and if that doesn't help you solve the problem, ask in the excellent openHAB forum. Good luck!
