I want to get into card collecting, how should I approach this? I see there are a lot of different products and I'm not sure where to begin. I want something nice to look at for my desk lol.

Two options: ONE: Collect just your favourite players/teams. TWO: Collect sets of cards. Start by watching a channel like this and see the various Upper Deck lines; there are close to 20 different sets you could collect in any given year. Find the ones you like best. From there, start collecting !

Personally I just collect my team (Canadiens) trying to complete every main set from the 50s to now. I also have binders of extra rookies and inserts and jerseys autos etc... Personally I found trying to collect everything and all teams far too daunting and cumbersome

I think the problem is at $2 a pack 200 packs is $400. What are the odds of getting $400 in value? What are the odds of even pulling a $20 card now? Used to be better value. I do really like the designs though.

Hey Matt, I'm in no way a card collecting expert but my two cents would be, if you wanna get back into it, buy the hockey cards packs at Dollorama... I believe they are 3$, for like 15 cards or so on average... Cards from the 90's, 00's, 10's and up to maybe a year behind to the date you bought the pack... I've also found jersey patches cards and one signed card. With the Tim Horton's cards, sure they are pretty but the chances of pulling anything good is very rare.
