About the Lost Thunder Expansion:
Lost Thunder is the name given to the eighth main expansion of the Sun & Moon Series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. In Japan, it was released as Super-Burst Impact, the eighth expansion in the Pokemon Card Game Sun & Moon Era. It is based on Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. It features the Legendary Pokemon Lugia, the Mythical Pokemon Zeraora, and the Ultra Beast Blacephalon. The English expansion was released on November 2, 2018, while the Japanese expansion was released on September 7, 2018.
Lost Thunder contains over 214 cards, including 13 new Pokemon-GX, 7 new Prism Star cards and several Pokemon native to the Alola and Johto regions. The Japanese equivalent Super-Burst Impact contains over 95 cards.

I put this on the other video also. The weird ball things in the artwork indicate the card interacts with the lost zone in some way. That’s a huge mechanic in this set. HGSS series cards had a similar pattern for lost zone cards if you look at sets like Call of Legends

Pretty sure some already explained this but here I go: The purple energy on the cards represents the Lost Zone, a mechanic that was revitalized in this set and is half of it's namesake together with the electro support. All cards with that energy on them put cards into the Lost Zone, often themselves. Cards in the Lost Zone are basically mega-gone and prism stars also go there instead of the discard pile so that they can't be reused for some degeneracy.

The purple void things are on cards that have to do with the lost zone. The cards seem to have synergies with it in some way. Lost zone is basically the out of play area (separated from deck, discard zone and field) for the Pokemon TCG
