I feel the same way about curved bands! When my husband and I went to design my rings, I had the diamond set as low as possible while still being high enough to fit a band (or 2!) flush against it. It was the first thing I mentioned during the design process :) Your ring, new and old, is beautiful!

That ring is gorgeous and sooooooo you!! I was so fortunate….my aunt gave me a ring that belonged to my grandmother, who i was so close with. We used the old european cut diamond from that ring to design my current ring. We were also able to use one of the smaller diamonds from her ring and use it in my husbands ring…its so special to us! Congrats…glad you followed your gut and got what you wanted!!! 💍😍

Opposite but similar i love my platinum plain band setting but i also choose a skinny plain wedding band for sport and swimming and a full diamond band for the bling. I stack all my rings and i love it. If you want a diamond wedding band go full diamond not half imho ….the plain wedding band does help protect and separate the two diamond rings

I love that you went with your gut and switched the setting! Personally I like low set rings because Im in health care but I can see how stacking can be frustrating when it doesn’t sit flush with the e-ring. Your bezel is STUNNING. 😍 can’t wait to see the future stacks.

Ok, about the Silent Patient... I hated it. Not because it was a bad book, I literally ate it in one sitting. But the hype was so high I was expecting the craziest plot twist ever, and I guessed the whole thing by the middle of the book. I just finished Pachinko and a gap is left in my heart, sooo good. I downloaded Verity on my kindle and will start it today!

LAN LAN LANNNNNN I'm so so so glad you changed your ring omggggg. And it is SO SO beautiful now!! I loved the other setting, just like you, but I also only ever wear 14 kt yellow gold and that platinum setting was such a weird anomaly! My mother died last year and I inherited a platinum-set ring with 2 large mine cut diamonds and 6 small ones. I also decided to reset the diamonds. I put the large ones in a 14 kt bracelet, and the small ones I added to an engraved 14kt charm from my birth that my grandmother used to wear and to a 14 kt signet ring my grandmother bought me when I was 13. And I also saved the antique setting. It's totally acceptable to reset gems, and has been forever...plenty of the Crown Jewels have changed settings over the years, so if you are tempted to feel guilty or defend yourself, don't!
