Opening case for Wahl Sterling Reflections Senior 8501, 5-Star Balding 8110, and Magic Cilp 8451

Opening the cases to see if there is a way to figure out if the Magic Clip Clippers has the V5000 or V9000 motor.

hey Bob, probably figured it out by now but if you look at the electrical specs on the clippers, a v5000 says 11 watts, a v9000 says 12 watts. will be stamped in cover plate on seniors and bottom of plastic bodies. just look for 11w or 12w

Look at the size of the coils! The Seniors and Magic Clip are the same coil, the bald (5000) is way smaller, and that's the only thing that makes the difference. Bigger motor = bigger output (in torque, not rpm, so the blade speeds might be the same, but the bigger motors will be harder to stall)

The Magic Clip is advertised to have a V9000 motor. Or at least that's what they claim.

the springs on the reflectionare stronger then the blue because of the aluminum the plastic will break the magic clip is a 9000 volt you can tell because the copper is 9000 on both

The color of the magnetic wire has no connection with the power of the motor color may vary from the wire supplier. About number of turns it depends on how many watts clipper design that is why wahl sterling is bulkier than the others.

The more number of loops on the could. the coil on the clipper is a solenoid. When current runs through the wire it creates a magnetic field around the wire in the direction depending on the direction of the current. The more the number of loops the bigger the magnetic field is. I imagine the magnetic force is what moves the iron piece with the help of magnets.

I thought they were 9000 Senior, 7000 Magic clip and 5000 for the balding. I could be wrong thou, but the Senior is more powerful than the Magic clip

All Wahl 5 start clippers are 9000 the only reason the balding is 5000 cause that blade is to Sharp to have that much power

thats incorrect. it has a finer still blade with no lever. it doesnt need a powerful motor.

A mogli by to zrobić wszystko jednego rodzaju, bo koszty są w zasadzie te same. Tylko po co? Jak można brać kasę i od tych co chcą kupować tanio i tych co są skłonni płacić o wiele drożej. Więc te tańsze modele muszą się grzać i mieć rdzewiejące noże, bo to uzasadnia istnienie droższych modeli. Ciekawe czy w maszynkach do strzyżenia psów nie ma takich samych silników? Tam potrzebna jest duża moc. Pewnie to samo można kupić za połowę ceny?
