I was 16yrs. old at this time and will never forget the 80's as for me they were the best times of my life! I watched Fred Trost every Thursday night with my dad and sometimes my Grandpa and Grandma! They had an incredible cabin basically between Mio and Lewiston in the middle of the woods off Mt. Tom Rd, and I spent the summers there when I got out of school! It was the best! It's tough to think of those days because there gone but glad I was able to have them, I will never forget my hunting days or the memories of growing up and enjoying my time with family and friends! A huge thank you to Fred Trost for his program as we all miss him very much and Thanks to Zachary Trost for these postings and keeping it alive all these years!

LOL, you just brought back a memory I had forgotten about. It is very possible they were "Rocky Mountain Oysters", One of the guys at the camp was from the UK and he was cooking them along with "Sweet Breads" the evening before the opener.

I began small game in 1983 at 16 and deer hunting in 1995 . Took me 10 years to get my first buck but he was a monster 10 pointer in north eastern Ontario that took me 2 days to drag out of the heavy bush and the wolves never touched my buck 🇨🇦 273 lbs field dressed ( I kid you not ! ) old butchers scale but still pretty accurate give or take a pound . Thank you for sharing

I wish huntin was like this now adays. Family and friends all about antler size and people sure are quick to make someone feel bad for shooting a small one

I feel the same way..in my area of Pennsylvania the meat hunter gets criticized for taking a legal buck ..they have monopolized deer hunting into a money racket..I wish it could go back to when fred was visiting deer camps...I miss those days..an I'm only 43

@@brianmiller3884 agreed it's depressing for sure. Don't know who to blame for all of this maybe the huntin programs?
@brianmiller38844 жыл бұрын
Yes I blame tv shows that are just try to sell there own product...they just blew everything out of proportion
