Having just finished Cold Steel 3 recently and starting Cold Steel 4, I am amazed at how much more I prefer the new Class 7 over the old. Perhaps the fact there are less characters makes it easier to attach to them I dunno. Laura is still my wife but I love Juna, Altina, Kurt, Musse and Ash.

I completed this game, completed all three parts, 1-2-3 cold steel series, I can tell you that I am simply shocked by the richness of information in the plot narrative and literally shocked by the ending of the game. I definitely recommend everyone check out this series as for me it is one of the best JPRG games of the last 30 years.

There is absolutely close to no spoilers in this opening if you played the previous games. Yes you see the characters that appear but thats it. If you compare this to the Trails to Azure Evolution opening that one has spoilers out the ass. This is mostly just cryptic nonsense that only makes sense after playing.

Nah, not every RPG should do it. Some writers just suck at keeping consistency through multiple games. I mean, look at the mess that is Kingdom Hearts. That said, I would like to see more studios try out the same idea. Unfortunately, studios aren't willing to take such a risk because it makes their series less accessible. At most they'll do one or two direct sequels, never more.

​@@adhirajb when i said "last" i mean the cold steel itself. At first they planned to make it as a trilogy but due to the long story the end it in the 4th game. Literally as the game title : "Sen no Kiseki IV - The End of Saga" The new game will focus on different story that took place after the event of the 4th sen no kiseki. Featuring the similar protagonist from the past kiseki games but will move on into the new arc thus the title is not "Trails of Cold steel V" I just hope they will speed up with localization, because it took so long for their games to be release on West due to the huge dialogue need to be translate.

Man this is such a back step from the previous once, its ok if you want to do it pure anime style but then you better have the freaken budget for it, instead of pretty much every scene dragging on 5 more seconds than the music tempo . without much movement, if your going to do that they the previous style was much more suitable and looks better .

tbh, i dont have much problem with animation nor songs in 3 of the Sen. I found them to be interesting in a lot of ways. While what i looked here is not Ufotable level of animation, it still looks okay. Same goes with 1 and 2. The VN-like opening but in high quality is a please to my eyes.
