This is so inspiring. GCSE's are so misleading and a cruel preparation for a levels. A level chemistry is like the biggest jump and some maths and biology questions feel almost impossible. Well done for being brave!

Because GCSE isn’t a good indicator of ability. With A-Levels it takes ability, focus, determination, time and will power. You can’t jus wing it like with GCSE’s. Especially with a subject like maths which is extremely difficult if you don’t thoroughly prepare and practice. Religious Studies also requires a high degree of critical analysis because it is 50% ethics and 50% religion and ethics is not easy! Law she did well in even though she was probably being lazy with it because law is one of the softer A-Levels.
@lltas26256 жыл бұрын
Sarah Ox law is not a softer a level I take it and it's really challenging
@controversyqueen89516 жыл бұрын
Well some people may find it challenging but that doesn’t mean it’s actually difficult. Compared to Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Further Maths it’s a walk in the park.

@misbahussain41177 жыл бұрын
Daisy Fay Buchanan the way biology is structured at A level is way different. In the sense that there is a lot more content involved but not only that. You have to get the wording absolutely correct to get the mark. And the content is just over loaded it's way more than any other A level for example Psychology. And plus you have to kind off learn parrot fashion meaning Learn the book word to word cous the mark scheme is so strict. Hoped this helped

Larissa Berry i just got my results for A level biology chemistry and maths! I got an A in all of them and I think the most important thing would be to revise throughout the year from the very beginning! I made lots of posters with spider diagrams for organic chemistry and with cycles like respiration for biology and stuck them all over my room! Also solve lots of past papers so you can get used to the questions and try tackling more difficult ones so that you will be able to cope with unexpected questions in the exam more easily☺️

Just to let you know that I really hated A Levels. Was the worst two years of my education overall. I did so well in GCSEs like you and then went onto a level geography, biology, chemistry and physics. Didn't get what I wanted in most of them. But I did go to university and absolutely loved it. Was the best three years of my life for sure! So maybe you will enjoy university. I wouldn't base it off of a levels as i found the jump from GCSEs to A levels the hardest thing ever. But a level to uni wasn't so much of a jump :) x

This sounds so much like me!! I also did really well in my gcses and then completely lost interest at a level because I didn't know what I wanted to do so didn't have the motivation of a specific uni course like most of my friends had. We also did really similar subjects I did maths, chemistry, and biology, and religious studies in year 12 and then dropped chemistry for year 13! I've now been out of education for nearly two years but I'm going back in February 2022 to study to become a paramedic, so glad I didn't go to uni just for the hell of it when everyone else did because now I've spent some time working in the 'real world' it's lead me to what I really want to pursue. Carry on doing what you're doing - you're so inspirational and what you've achieved at such a young age starting your own business and buying a house in incredible! xxx
