ive done this recently also. i found my old wii that i had since 2011 and remembered my brother modded it around 2016, but after that i never touched it again, but when i recently was packing to move out, i found the old wii, so when i got to my new house, i hooked it up and it worked! but it cant read any disc at all. i plan on sending it to some kind of repair shop so i can finally have the nostalgia come back to me/
