I thinking he pick the wrong shop. It takes a different kind of body shop to do this kind of work. When he didn’t even sandblast the entire car than didn’t know that the roof and the panel came together like that from the factory than watching them do the body work that was pretty much everything I needed to see.

Hey I get what you all are saying but Gavin is friends with Dom and trusts him to get the job done. Dom overall is just a pretty chill dude. I know that doesn’t excuse the burnout thing, but he’s just trying to have some fun. I don’t think this was the reason why, but I think Gavin chose Dom because he knew Dom’s character. I had the same thing happen when I bought my Supra. The guy said it had head work so I figured arp bolts and headgasket. I did a rebuild and found out it was a built bottom end with higher compression pistons. Ended up making around 400whp on a stock turbo.

11:58 There are 2 types of design philosophies, 1: Make it easy to work on because it will need it 2: Make it bulletproof enough to not have to work on it A lot of parts are intentionally hard to get to since you won't need to work on it. For example on motorbikes a lot of bikes it's near impossible to get to the Gearbox without taking the engine out of the bike and splitting it, however it's super unlikely the gearbox would give up before any other vital components in the engine, whereas the clutch for example is a wearable item even if it's supposed to last the life of most bikes and thus really easy to change.
