This is why I still think this was the best live-action Flintstones movie. That they were able to recreate the classic opening so well is a definite hit in the memory circuits. I loved it. And, of course, the casting was pretty good. Even Rosie O'Donnell, whom everyone criticized when she was cast, did very well as Betty Rubble. She got the laugh absolutely perfect. And you have to admit she is not forgotten like she was too often in the cartoon. They did the film with a lot of respect, and I enjoyed it. Fun fact: This film was in development hell for so long, they considered casting John Belushi as Fred!
