In that game with No Witnesses, you didn't miss. The wrath gave you that 2nd clue (before that you had 2 spiders and 1 clue) - you didn't accidentally pass priority and fail to activate Izoni.

I believe it would have paused on your priority with no witnesses on the stack if you had enough tokens to sacrifice.

I agree. Every draft should just be decided by a number generated by the AI; assessing the submitted deck. That’s what it does anyway, you just get absolutely screwed anytime the game decides it wants you to loose. It has become so predictable it’s not even funny. I can play the most busted deck in very drafted and it won’t let me get 3 wins to claim play in points. WOTC has to get their crack money. God forbid I got to play an open with play in points.

Damn, this reminds me of mine! I played traditional for day 1 and opened 2 Izonis, a Rakdos, FOUR panthers with an extract, vitu gazi inspectors etc. A few more rares in there too, stomped all the way up to the final game where absolutely everything went wrong with my draws both games. Truly tragic what Magic can do to you sometimes 😭

This deck was the absolute nuts. Definitely one of the best sealed decks I've ever seen in any format. I think you might have been able to win that one game where at 47:30 you chose to sac 6 power in play to draw cards. Opponent had missed 3 land drops and with 4 power in menace to pressure them while theyre stumbling, I dont think you want to take your foot off the gas to try and attrition them. Then again, they had double wrath so that was going to be a tough one to win no matter what. Curious what others think about that spot because its really tough to say and I could be way off. These vods are so good for studying great players like yourself. Super excited to see your day 2 drafts.

Awesome deck. Closest thing I've had to this was at a 2HG pre-release for Magic Origins. Between me and my teammate we had 3 flip Liliana, 3 Languish, and a Kothophed in one deck (plus several other rares in the other deck). Look forward to seeing the day 2 vid.

This is amazing haha. It reminds me of a guy from my old LGS who opened 2 Glorybringers in his sealed pool at GP Richmond. He placed very highly on day two by mowing everyone's creatures down and tilted quite a few people along the way lol.

Yeah I use 17lands.com as a resource. They're great. Especially when you're trying to look at cards you haven't played with often. I think they're a great guideline to use but don't follow it 100% since you still need to consider your curve, creature count, spell count, etc

I had x2 Izoni in my fnm draft. Funny thing was, I opened the first p3,p1 and then got passed a 2nd one p3,p4! No, I did not lose a game, though Izoni was also useful for ill time explosion fuel because i was 4c green EDIT: I'm glad you also appreciate Snarling Gorehound. I also really like it in an aggro black deck.

I feel good for you but if it comes to my sealed drafts... Well... Quite salty. I've had many bombs like for exaple Aurelia's Vindicator and Ezrim in one deck and i couldn't make 7 wins... I'm advenced player but mana issues sometimes feel so painfull..

​@haumph agreed. Wish there was some sort of pity system after going 0-2 to forfeit and get some credit towards a redraft. I had 2 0-3s and a 7-1. My 7-1 had Izoni and Vindicator. Between both my 0-3s I had 1 good rare total. One of them I had 3 Case of the Crimson Pulse. I had to play 2 of them and actually decked in 2 of the losses. Just a really bad sealed format IMHO. The disparity between the Bombs and trash rares is too big and the uncommons/commons in the set aren't powerful enough to bridge that gap. Awesome video though. Just discovered your content. Always love your commentary so I am really enjoying the backlog of content to watch.

This is criminal. A top player getting top cards and insane draws. I quit MTG forever. I could make the same deck and never draw one of my rares, and if I did, I wouldn't have the mana. I know know, I'm the typical salty player. I am happy to see Mr Cheon streaming, though.

Yeah I'm not gonna lie. Even with how busted my deck was, I still also got very lucky with timely draws on Izoni when I needed it. But it takes luck and skill to do well at these!
