It's a trip to look at early Venture Bros materials. Brock with his early psycho look (the first series trailer is literally a montage of Brock killing people, nothing else), no Monarch (originally supposed to be a one-time villain), the female villain after Underbheit that never gets used (probably just smart use of production concept art) The early episodes were just 100% Johnny Quest parody before it started becoming something of its own, then even having its own Johnny Quest parodies show up It's fascinating to see the design evolution over a decade and a half.

Just got the Go Team Venture Book. For the intro they just basically slapped the Pilot episode footage with some early concept artwork from their pitch book (that woman with the knife is an early design of Molotov Cocktease without the eyepatch). And with all that Johnny Quest / Doc savage-like background pics (Mayan temples, maps) really sets the mood.

I am currently binging The Venture Bros watching it for the 1st time. Pretty disappointed that they cut a good chunk of the opening for season 2 and 3 so far (hoping seasons 4-7 will have better openings?) So I have to watch season 1 opening with every episode I watch until finished.
