i did see the first switch by the blacksmith but I never thought much of it 😅 I guess once u look for switches near lamps you can find them all. Tho how to find that combination outside of hacking game files 🤷‍♂

Why do you say you need the dragon to light the torches inside the well? I've never used the dragon. I've always only used the fire sword. Then you don't have to wait so long to open it.

Amazing Something I see many players do is instantly switch transformations like you do too. Was that patched out? Cause I just played this game to its entirety and you always get a radial menu to select your transformation. Once you have the Frog transformation at least.

​@@Broockle I know it's been a while. But you can turn off the ring menus in settings for magic and form changes so it just cycles through unlocked stuff when you press buttons. The game tells you this at the start once you unlock enough forms or magic. But if you ignore it it's easy to forget

@@TheKinglaharl Thanks but I think the game rarely would have made use of that swift transformation change anyway. Would have been cool tho. Monster Boy in my opinion didn't feel like a transformation game like Little Samson or Mickey's Magical Quest. It felt more like a symphony of the night type hacknslash RPG with a metroidvania map to get through with ever increasing abilities. The transformations could have easily been replaced with gear and it would have made little difference. The Magic was completely outscaled by the last 3 transformations, and half of them used sword and shield anyway, they're abilities overlapped. Still great game tho, just a tad disappointing in that regard.

I find the first switch near the blacksmith while running with the lion , because of the sound, but that's it. I didn't noticed that this switch turn on the lights nearby, but I can imagine someone figuring out and look for the others closed to lights. I myself tried to find what was this switch for. But the white tower disc code, how can this be found.

The blue gem in the statue flashes the code. Every time it stops flashing, you have to turn around

Still doesn't make sense considering it doesn't tell you which way to turn. I was gonna give this game a 10/10 but Ryuichi fucked this one up so I'm giving it a 8.5.

You don't need dragon breath to open the door to the room. You can use the pig and fireballs. It worked on the PlayStation 5 version of the game so my guess is it will work for other platforms. #PlayStation5 #Sony

Ur absolutely right and I find u too generous. A good metroidvania is 10-12h MAX. Longer is just boring and répétitive. The longest game of this type is Hollow Knight and it's often the only cons that players pointed out : WAY TOO LONG. Shorter and HK will provably have been one of the best game ever made. This Monster Boy IS way too long, Volcano is torture... Too much puzzle and stupid timing plateform, disappointing. The best MetroidvaniaS EVER are all short game : Super Metroid, SoTN, Dust, Blasphemous, Luna Nights... I will NEVER do Monster Boy again once cleared, exactly like Monster World IV (Green hair girl), they are long and boring games, Dragon's Trap and the Genesis épisode are MASTER CLASS in comparison

This is the most cryptic bullshit I've ever seen in a game. I love the Monster World games but this is leaving a nasty taste in my mouth. Even Zelda games don't do this shit well at least the ones I've played.
