Boy Chris, when you had the gopro camera mounted above the stumper it was like being under a bell 🔔 making it obvious the pins really do need to be replaced. I gotta salute your work given how tedious it has to be sometimes. We only get a small portion of it but when you show us a large area you've cleared it becomes obvious you've put in some serious seat time. Thanks for the entertainment Sir. I spent the day repairing a 60 in 1 Multicade game and it was a lot less tedious but nice to get home and watch the new vid you'd posted

Chris you know the importance of cleaning the tracks. Get'r Done. That was drilled into me from day one. Undercarriage repairs cost a lot and putting a flat spot in a roller wears the chain faster than anything. Not including down time.

Those big white oaks will be some nice shade trees in about 5yrs when they bush out good, always amazes me how wide the canopy gets when they are opened up around them. Cant wait for those tree piles are set ablaze, they are going to be some big ass fires.

Almost seems like you need a whole rake without the blade behind it, like a big version of the stump rake. That way dirt and stuff could easily work through it. Although I guess without a "quick attach" that does add the complexity for changing things. Keep up the good work sir! 😎👍

Specs say the Volvo 220 sips about 4gal/hour, so $24/hr maybe for fuel. Not bad. The equipment depreciation and Chris' time would be the largest portions, I expect. Without being in the business and having no real idea, I'd guess around $10k/wk. It's great to see the daily progress though. I'm eagerly awaiting the rain to see some piles disappear.

The Komatsu sure lets you know when the root rake finds a hidden treasure!😉 Love the sound of the roots popping when the camera is mounted by the thumb, the rattle of the thumb, not so much. Almost took a header a couple of times when you ran the forks of the stumper into the dirt! All good at the end of the day! Kudos to you for your dedication and hard work!

Just a suggestion - make sure to blow out your A/C filters and units so they will continue to provide cooling. "How dry is it ?" - you can hear the squeek in the tracks. D7 Wilma and Ol` Betty would have you choking in a dust cloud. Nice results of what you have done,,,more work than the 8 acres of pines you helped your friend with.

While it sucks with the drought keeping you from burning, it really is nice to do the clean up and stumping without a bunch of mud gumming things up. I know that burning the piles would make it look more open, but actually this might be a blessing in that the stumps drop that dry dirt a lot better then damp clay on them. If you get the clean up done before the rains, the burning could go very fast and make up for the feeling of slowness. Like a couple of days of burning could be huge to open things up to the eye. Sure is monotonous though. And I cannot even imaging how long this would have taken by excavator and chain saw for the whole thing. You were right unless you wanted a job for a lifetime with no moves to other sites. Doing like you do house lots, you could have been here for years and Bealy would have been waiting a long time for a pond. Looking for the day you are building the dam That will be awesome.

Imagine how much work that was back in the days of "forty acres and a mule" with hand saws for cutting. The amount of work to clear a one acre field with hand saws, mules to pull stumps, and god forbid you were in New England with all those rocks to clear and build walls with just to "waste" those rocks. Lots of manual labor in those days. And somehow New England areas keep growing rocks every year faster than crops in some cases. More rocks to clear before planting every season.

You have great discipline and very conscientious. I probably would have gotten fed up and cut a fire break around the whole field and torched the whole mess. I am sure you do miss the D6 for a big job like this. It will be ready for the next one.

The project is coming along nicely. Looking good. Is it too much to ask that you set aside a BUNCH of stumps for fish structure in the Lake. If he wants to have a productive fishing lake he is going to need a lot of structure. Some gravel beds for Blue Gill and some deep holes so the Shad can reproduce and evade the Bass in the summer. Rock Piles??? Artificial Fish Structures? Anyway, take care, thanks for taking me along.

Serious suggestion: talk to DP about making you an 8 foot rake attachment for your 220. Yall can use truck springs for the fingers. Then you'd be able to rake all the loose brush just like you would with a leaf rake. The springs would spring around stumps and you could literally rake several acres in just a little while.
