Janay Lynn I appreciate you telling your story. It can be difficult for our African American community to speak about mental illness. I was diagnosed with bipolar in 2010. I have taken different meds through out the years. I'm on a really good medication regime now (Seroquel, Lamictal, Lithium and Gabapentin). And most importantly it is imperative to have a good support system and psychiatrist. I love my psychiatrist. She is so awesome. I hope you have found you a really good psychiatrist at an affordable price. Therapy in addition to medication is important. I hope you have a great day. Hope to see more videos from you

Sammi Babii thanks for all the support! I did not have an easy path to getting the right diagnosis, but I'm thankful for those experiences. I am also on lamictal and Seroquel. I got off abilify instead and they added lamictal last month. I have spent well over a $1,000 to see psychiatrists and therapists and how to go out my way. Let me tell you how great God is, I see my psychiatrist monthly and my therapist weekly for FREE and they are only 5 minutes away from where I live. 🙌
