Thanks for the video. I never managed to properly collect the Classics line, as I didn't get back into toys until later, but I managed to buy a few of the leftover Classics figures, for cheap on ebay. I ended up adding them to my Origins shelves, and pretending they're giants lol. Batros was one of the figures I have on my evil warriors shelf. By the way, that colour variant of Karg you have is taken from the Marvel/Star comic book of the movie (1987). In the comic, the bad guys have strange neon, colours, different from the movie, specifically Beastman, Blade and Karg (Saurod looks pretty similar to his movie self). Weirdly, He-Man, Man-at-arms, Teela, Sorceress, Skeletor and Evil Lyn all look like their regular (Non movie) selves. Very strange indeed. Whoever drew the comic certainly didn't see the movie first lol.

@@The_Cosmic_Yog-Sothoth Thanks for watching and sharing that back info about Karg. I had no idea why they went with those blue colors for this variant version. I like the metallic tones with that blue color.

Did Super7 have access to Mattel molds or were they possibly releasing Mattel-engineered figures under their name during this period of Classics? It just seems like the quality of their stuff has really taken a dip compared to their Classics. I mean look at the sculpt detail & paint on Karg... no shiny, waxy plastics or poorly engineered joints (for the era).
@Themanchlid
@Themanchlid 6 күн бұрын
@@ioncewasmikey I'm guessing Super7 used those mold as far as certain common body asthetics for the Classics line. Other figures they had sculpted. The paint and QC issues are the factorys Super7 used for a cheaper cost most of the time.
@ioncewasmikey
@ioncewasmikey 6 күн бұрын
@Themanchlid That makes sense. Even compared to a lot of things they've made since, certain TMNT figures, the GI Joe Ultimates, their MOTU stuff just shines.
@Themanchlid
@Themanchlid 6 күн бұрын
@ioncewasmikey Yes the finished problems are always from the factorys. Sometimes they mass produce figures and then they ship out to retailers or Preorders with all certain issues that was not part of the the final figure sample approval from Super7 before it went into production and the figures were tooled with assembly, painted and packaging. Then they get into hands of the buyers and that's were certain issues with so many figures have the problems that are too late to fix.
@ioncewasmikey
@ioncewasmikey 6 күн бұрын
@Themanchlid I'm guessing that's what Bryan Flynn has said on the subject. I have to imagine if it's really the factory, then Super7 isn't really paired up with the best factories, because so very few toy companies, particularly higher end collectibles makers, have that many QC issues. I'd guess it's a cost cutting measure by Super7 to work with such poor performing factories, and don't have any idea why Super7 would find this acceptable if the factory is blatantly failing to follow through with what they've previously sent as a final approval prototype on so many occasions. Why would they not make a change unless it was tied to cost? For the prices they charge their customers, that doesn't really seem like an acceptable excuse. Sounds like they're passing the buck & blaming the factories when ultimately, it's their choice what factories they're partnered with.
@Themanchlid
@Themanchlid 6 күн бұрын
@ioncewasmikey You said it exacly correct with the issues and Bryan Flynns response to the problems from what I watched with interviews.
