Have your friend watch the 4 screws that hold the control box on top, all of mine have fallen out . An openroad doesn't replace them you have to. They say if you do they would reimburse you, but they also say that the controller doesn't come mounted on the wrench also. So just a heads up.

I didn't show it on the video, but I noticed the screws were loose and tightened them before we mounted it!

Yep I’ve been less than impressed so far. when I pulled my line out to respool it under tension the rope pulled right out of the drum leaving the crimped end behind. They sent a new rope but it doesn’t fit in the drum it’s a different mounting style.

Absolute lousy customer service. Ordered one for Black Friday. Got it by Sunday and installed it. Winch does not work. Neither remote works. All I get is stupid responses about how is it wired or how crazy that i have something that doesn’t work. I’ve been putting winches on for over 20 years As a ASE certified mechanic telling you this absolutely junk from Open Road. Look like a quality winch, but this thing is absolutely junk. No phone numbers work for the company. And the responses are 2 to 3 days apart. Save your money and go with someone else.
