how do i learn open flow rules

I found the best way to learn was by setting up a couple of OVS bridges on my PC. Creating two VMs and getting them attached to one of the bridges. Then just start creating open flow rules to see how it works. Once I had a basic idea, I used another laptop and did the same thing. Then created a VXLAN between them and learnt how to send the VM traffic over the VXLAN.
