P4OVN: Offloading OVN Pipeline to Intel IPU

In Intel Developer Cloud, as a network builder, we will present P4OVN, offloading OVN pipeline into hardware, Intel Infrastructure Processing Unit (IPU). By co-design of hardware and software, we accelerate OVN pipeline such as basic L2/L3 forwarding and stateful ACL to build Virtual Private Cloud (VPC). By taking advantage of a programmability of IPU in P4 language, we achieve optimization of the pipeline in hardware and provides a high-level API to upper layer application such as ovn-controller, so that easily integrate the new pipeline. We will cover whole integration of OVN in this talk.
