Hey Boone, your tutorials are super helpful, but I have some constructive feedback: 1. Keep the window view constant-no need to zoom/key your position at times like 1:04, 1:07, 1:54, 2:11. It can be distracting and makes it harder to follow along. 2. Consider downsizing your avatar; it's pretty prominent at 8.68% of the total video frame area. 3. Showing the entire screen (& entire windows) without cropping, would offer a complete perspective of your workflow. 4. Don't skip steps. A walkthrough from OSM to AI to AE, including small things like download to location directories, your folder structures, etc adds a lot of value. It makes it feel like we aren't missing any steps. Small tutorials are great, but seeing the full process would be awesome. I wouldn't worry about viewer retention - you are in a unique position as the only creator on KZbin providing GEOLayers/Mapping tutorials, for now. Maybe you’re doing these minor editing annoyances to push us viewers to your masterclass.. (which I'm considering joining!) Thanks so much for the content! I'm pretty sure we do video work within the same ecosystem of content creators too - maybe one day we will work together!

Can you make a video where you show how to customise the drawn out shape layers of countries/regions from Geolayers 3. Like for example: Take two neighbouring countries, i want to add territory of country 1 to country 2, then i need to subtract the added territory from country 2. I’m doing that in Illustrator and import the vector layers back into After Effects. Maybe you know how to do it more efficiently and also some plugins/extensions that help with the workflow. Also adding separate strokes on these customised shape layers/country territories and so on. Working with Geolayers 3

Is it always WGS 84 when exporting to Geolayers? Thats the projection it always is in? Can it be changed? (I don't want to, that's the one for the web).

always useful tutorials, thank you very much, I have a question though. I am working for a news media and as part of our routine job we have to update conflict zone areas like Israel and Hamas war or Russia-Ukraine war. At the moment we do it manually in geo layers, After Effects and Photoshop, do you know of a better workflow that we can update our maps more easily from a data source or geojson file or even QGIS plugin?

Wow, very interesting. What is your source that you're using to update the conflict areas? I would try to do it all in GEOlayers using the pen tool and then adding new features to GEOlayers from those shapes.
