Who would have thought that a song of Praise would have a 73 yr old Metal Head head banging?...Well Dan made this happen, even my Grandchildren now find this Carol uplifting and relatable to the youth of today.

What a great performance by Dan and his guitarist Victor The guitar. The first time I heard it I was shocked and confused by the shaking. I have watched it many times and it has become my absolute favorite Christmas song. And not just at this time, but all year round. Es ist ein wundervolles Weihnachtslied, welches durch das Cover von Dan und Victor für mich erheblich an Bedeutung gewonnen hat. Ich liebe den Gesang von Dan, die wunderbaren Gitarrenlinien von Victor und das Pulsieren der Kraft in diesem Lied. Dans Gesangspitzen und die Wendungen in der Art und Weise der Darbietung sind für mich immer wieder hörenswert. Und ich habe es schon sehr oft gehört. Dan took this song we have heard hundreds of times and transformed it into an anthem for Jesus Christ our Savior. I will never hear O Holy Night again without hearing Dan’s version in my head. Thanks for reacting to this wonderful performance by our beloved Dan! #VascNation 🎉

The metal parts sounded like demons to me. Think about it. Gabriel Henrique does the song with very high notes in the end. This is my favorite carol and I do not celebrate the pagan holiday. Our Lord Jesus was born in September and although the word mentions His birth it never mentions we should celebrate it.

The way he emphasized the key meanings of the lyrics has floored me since it's release last year. Indeed, the slave is our brother, & everyone is a slave to the darkness until they accept the King of Kings. Even then, it takes many ppl quite some time to realize that bias is slavery. (For instance, there are those who refuse to listen to any style that differs from the way their great great grandparents sang same song). I'm so glad you liked Dan & Victor's style! They obviously put a lot of thought & effort into it. A worthy song to have on replay anytime of the year. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Well, that was fun. Lol. I agree... this is definitely "pretty freaking great," Daniel.😊 Loved this version the minute it dropped last Christmas & I heard it. The growl & earthquake caught me off guard, but it fit so perfectly in that phrase. This was the 2nd song from Dan that I had heard & my intro to Victor the Guitar Nerd. What a wild ride the past year has been with discovering the multitude of great stuff both Dan & Victor have done together & individually. Not my favorite of Dan’s Christmas songs. (That’s Angels We Have Heard on High.) I find the beginning a little quirky with a few weird vocal effects, and I don’t much like the growl in this song (not because of all the ridiculous Devil stuff, just aesthetically.) But once he really launches, his glorious voice and passion carry the day. I guess I just didn’t appreciate the “everything but the kitchen sink” feel of this song as much as you did - but that’s fine. Still a stunning performance. Thanks, Daniel! Always informative and interesting to listen to your take.
