Just bought one (not cheap) because we have 5 rescue dogs and they quickly destroy the turf. I've tried to fence off sections and seed them but that is ineffective. So I got the Classen and it is quite a robust (heavy) machine. One commenter said it takes too many steps to make a turn but it is like anything, the more you use it the more familiar you become with it and it quickly becomes second hand. So twice a year I replace the sod so the pups can exercise. In the event there is a patch of dirt and it has rained the dogs will activate their GPS and find that very mud hole. So I took a water heater drain pan, cut a hole and installed a drain. Then I took irrigation hose and affixed it around the perimeter of the tray. Then at 12" intervals I installed pvc connectors that have an angular protrusion meant for attaching tubing (just leave open as they become water nozzles). I attached a hose connection with a shut off valve and connect it to garden hose. Turn it on and it creates a whirlpool and when you set the dog in they tend to move around which dislodges the mud. Out they come clean as a whistle. I will do a video on the Paw Washer.

Make sure the drive is engaged when transporting to lock in position . I was in a van and the rig kept it from rocketing forward into my dash . Can't say the same for the rear doors . Be safe .

Check oil level--do not overfill if oil is new and near transparent. Check fuel to avoid inconvenient empty tank.

This is way harder than the video indicates. Maybe depends on the soil, but I just cut a 40-ft walkway through a lawn in North Texas with a cutting depth of only an inch and it was extremely difficult. Takes some experience, finesse and muscle to get the cutting blade engaged with the wheel-drive moving forward. I'll try a tiller next time.

Sean Mitchell Sean, Thank you for your feedback. For better operation results when engaging the cutting blade, pivot the unit forward and lower the nose of the unit toward the ground.
