Wow, this is DCS Mission building level 20000000. As a mission builder I know that giving the players options, and having the mission story branching based on player input/ performance is a nightmare to build, it exponentially increases your work, but it looks like you weren't afraid of this. Extra kudos for all the little details. I know it takes ages to set up and chances are the player won't even notice. My hats off, I really wish I understood all the Hornet's gadgets and I could give this a try.

That's some HIGH praise from someone who I consider to be at the top of the Campaign building space. I am about to purchase this and seeing this video, along with this comment has me ultra excited to try this out. Looking forward to the experience, Chris!

Awesome campaign, lots of little details help with total immersion. Interesting story and dialogues, and the best is you're not forced to listen to them, they're completely optional. I'm only on the 5th mission and already looking forward to play the whole thing again. Thanks for the great experience, well worth the $$!!!

Just started this one as I finally thought it was time to do proper missions and campaign and I must say it just showed me a whole other world of DCS for me instead of just pounding TOO targets with simple weapon systems or airquaking. Holy SH*T this is an amazing campaign! Never knew DCS had this capability with such talented and passionate people as you! (However can’t evade the manpad on mission 5 by the downed pilot. Never understood how to dodge a manpad as they’re fired so close and have a lot of energy). Thank you!

Just completed mission one very much impressed. Did get chewed out by the tower for doing "fly by" aka a standard left hand pattern. Think I might need to read the spins a bit more
@groundpoundersimulations83172 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yeah there are lots of little things like this that can get you chewed out a little, the SPINS are important for avoiding this. Still fully completable without, but for the best scores you need to pay attention to all the procedures. The danger in the overhead break is flying too low over the base housing, which I took from the real life Incirlik instructions. You have to be careful around Incirlik as there's quite a few restricted flight areas.

I tried the campaign but I had a lot of issues. Sound cutting out, squelch getting stuck so I was forced to hear static, triggers not working as intended. This could be due to DCS bugs and not necessarily the missions itself but I just couldn’t be bothered with it. I’m sure it’s a great campaign but I refunded.
@groundpoundersimulations83172 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear that, sounds more like a DCS issue at your end, nothing in the campaign that would affect your squelch and not had any other reports of this nature. If you're having a radio issue though that's likely to mess with the triggers. Thanks for trying though!
@masterman31782 жыл бұрын
@@groundpoundersimulations8317 trust me I don’t blame you guys at all. I have a beefy rig but the issues happened twice. Sir, Amazing campaign so far! I love it when I get off course for too long. I can't wait to play more. I'm on mission 4, and can't get my Spacebar to activate any Comms. I've read the docs and I have cycled the Comms menu lacking, "Flight", "Other", and "F10" options, many times. How would you suggest I continue?
@groundpoundersimulations83172 жыл бұрын
Thanks! The spacebar command won't usually work until your radio is set. So if this isn't working for you then this is the most likely reason, double check that once you've selected your radio channel you have pressed Enter on the UFC, the Hornet won't always detect the radio channel until you do that. If that doesn't solve it please let me know the exact part of the mission it's happening and who you're trying to contact on the radio so I can help further.

More awesome work Chris! Big fan of Persian Freedom, just played the first mission of this one yesterday, super impressed with all the supporting documentation! Quick question… is there anything prohibiting the release of multiplayer campaigns? From the outside in it seems it would be simple enough change, but I’m not sure what kind of knock on effect a second player client would have on things like triggers, etc. Great work fella keep it up!!!
@groundpoundersimulations83172 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jack, glad you're enjoying! DCS' campaign interface just isn't built for multiplayer yet, apart from that the biggest issue is some long standing issues with radio transmissions between the clients I believe, I tried to convert some persian freedom missions a while back and there were loads of problems with the client hearing comms.
@jackhicks24292 жыл бұрын
That’s fair enough, yeah I assumed there was something technical in the way, either way though you’ve knocked with the single player stuff, looking forward to get my teeth stuck into this one! :)

I want to play so bad, I love the emerson and effort put into this campaign and I bought it the day it released. But unfortunately I can't get it to run. It takes no joke 20 min just for the menu to load in the campaign section and almost 30 minutes to load the actual mission and put me in the plane. Once I'm there it's so glitchy and slow that it crashes. Any advice? My graphics are set to the very lowest settings and I haven't had issues like this before with any campaign or map. Thank you, I hope I can start playing this soon.

@@willielinks3865 your ram sounds low especially for Syria missions. Your loading times are massive as well, are you on an SSD or hard drive? Hard drives on DCS are unfortunately quite slow. In terms of advice I'm no expert, I would recommend the forums on the ED website where you'll get far more knowledge than I have.
@willielinks38652 жыл бұрын
@@groundpoundersimulations8317 so you think my system isn't too good for something as complex as your missions? I have a bare bones set up, I run on my harddrive as well, basic C-Drive. Thank you for the input I really appreciate it, I've wanted to play this campaign for a while, you've done tremendous work on it
@groundpoundersimulations83172 жыл бұрын
@@willielinks3865 unfortunately I think any complex mission on DCS is really going to push your system, anything on Syria even more so. There's always little optimisations you can make to settings both in DCS and more globally so worth investigating to see if you can squeeze a little more out your system. Not sure what your position is on upgrading elements of your system, RAM if you can is a must, I think DCS recommends 32GB for heavier missions and it makes a big difference.
