Had an idea for a Blackbeard rework/an independent operator like Flores. Idea is a flank watch operator that can set up trip wires to take defenders off their feet like how Nomads charges blow people off their feet and onto the ground. So the wire is essentially “invisible” except for being able to see the wall mounts if you look carefully. The attacker would help with roamers (hence Blackbeard rework since my only other idea is a passive ability to give attackers armour before heading into battle like Rook) but if the idea was used on defence to stop run and gun meta, then they could be a game hunter/trapper recruited to Nighthaven or maybe Keres Legion since steel wires at neck height doesn’t seem like it would be in the Rainbow play book. Love the videos, great to see this content after taking a few years off the game 👍

I would give blackbeard the attacker equivalent of c4. It would hurt a bunch like normal c4, could be good flank cover if used well, and maybe have very small hardbreaching potential (like a 2 pellet hibana shot max) but make a ton of noise when used. It would still be a simple concept and feel like an earlier operator, Blackbeard isn’t the type to use super complex gadgets imo, but it allows for smart usage and is definitely better than a serram wrap shield that completely goes against the game’s design

I’ve always wondered about the possibility of strobe lights for an operator. They’re such a great tool for entry and enemy disorientation that it’s surprising (yet also not) there isn’t an Attacker/Defender with them. Ying is the closest with her Candelas however an attacker dedicated to setting up strobe lights would be awesome! On attack it could work similarly to Zeros gun and after a short warm up period, just goes ham and maybe even creates noise for more disorientation. On defense it could honestly just be a defender that has their own unique flashbangs or some little critter they can deploy to go in one direction like Rams Boogie Bot

What about a attack operater that can silently destroy barricades hatches and certain defender utility like evil eyes,he can also loudly with a fairly long animation unreinforce walls unless there is wall denial such as kaids electroclaws and mute and tubarou temporarily disable his gadget entirely. He has 4 charges and he has to swap to a specialized silenced drill and is locked in an animation. He would be a 3 speed and his load out would be cav shotgun to let him compliment making walls soft and the mpx to compliment his fast close quarters gameplay with kali smg secondary. His secondary gadget would be breach charges and claymores to compliment soft breach and anti flank. What do y'all think?

What about an operator that can reinforce parts of a wall but not the whole thing and maybe apply this to breakable floors as well if its balanced, think a more flexible mira without the one way window so you still get the protection from the reinforced wall but u can pop up to shoot if you want to. or you could reinforce head level part of a wall then use the elevation of a table or something to peak over it, or reinforce a wall but leave footholes. This could also be done by cutting existing reinforcements like maverick but a lot faster to fit within the prep phase.

attacker is actually pretty good but 4-6 is way to much for what it does, 2-3 is a bit better because if you pair him with flores and assume he has 4 like you said thats 8 things that can clear utility or move defenders, also hard breaching is kinda wild, i get there not great honestly because like range breaching is superior but I see how pros abuse those can openers and giving basically flores HB would be insane, i do think claymores would be better in this case, but honestly good attacker for a idea.

They would not be the first Middle Eastern operators to join Rainbow. We have Oryx from Jordan, and if you would count North Africa as a part of the Middle East, Kaid & Nomad from Morocco and Alibi from Libya. You could count in Ash as well.

I personally think that r6 has a good balance between defense utility and attacker utility removal, adding Barakah will definitely favor the attackers a lot more and change the meta. I think this grenade launcher should be slow to fire and slow to detonate, giving defenders ample time to react and adapt. It would be broken if it was as fast as tacankas grenade launcher. I think it would be interesting if it functioned like lesion or wamai where he gets more grenades as the round progresses, so he won’t be able to just burn out ads, utility, and cause defenders to relocate in the first few seconds, while the longer he is alive the more utility he can clear, giving a nice risk/reward style of operator, Azar on the other hand is perfect and will shake up the meta in a good way.

Good thinking! I partially agree with the change you thought up for Barakah. I think giving him 4 total grenades at the start of the round gives him the opportunity to use them all for utility clear/burn OR to flush out an attacker and get a pick or two. Zofia technically has the exact same options. I do think the recharging mechanic on attack would be interesting though
