In late June 1944 Montgomery launches two operations--Epsom and Martlet--to attack the German stronghold of Caen from the west. But when the British attack runs into the 2nd SS Panzer Corps, this battle in the Odon River valley turns into an epic showdown. Today's wargame represents three days of action on a custom tabletop built by Bruce Weigle, played in 3mm scale. This is a playtest of Bruce's new operational WW2 rules, "Gained By Battle."
