Thoughts about Operation Monster Force series 1. Big bad toy store is getting into the action figure game. And made with fresh monkey fiction an established independent toy maker with years of experience. This collaboration is based on the monster theme.
Since I compare most 6 inch figures to Hasbro Marvel Legends. This is what I think of the new player joining the action figure market.

Just preorder the whole wave and some extra troopers as they are perfect 😍 ,as the vampire solders look like there from blade, and the sleep walker troopers you can use for hydra troopers to go against captain America. 🎉

I think this is a very well thought-out line. The designs are cool, sure, so that's great but they also clearly put a lot of thought into the pieces they included in the figures. If you look at the soldiers, the parts they come with allow you to create an insane number of combinations just from a single figure. All of those add ons, pouches, and accessories can be moved around the figure, plugged into different ports on the body and the head and the weapons. This is how you get a lot of mileage out of a figure, and (I assume) it helps to keep tooling and production costs down. Great for the makers and the consumers. I'm really jazzed about this announcement. I can't wait to start popping the pieces around to discover the looks that I like the most. I'm going to pick up one of the Santas first to see how their product turns out but if he looks good and feels solid in hand, then I might dive pretty deep into this new line.

I also like the fact the base body sculpt on it's own does not seem to need the extra parts. Sometimes of these figures with accessories the body sculpt is made in a way that without the accessories it does not look right. Yes I see good army builder potential with the swap parts and weapons.

Looks impressive. We all know Hasbro think that the fans exist solely to make money for them. Look at the new PS2 Spider-Man, all reuse for $35. You have to compare these to 4Horseman which are $35 & Valaverse. They have the same thing in common: expensive international shipping. I would be interested in some of these, especially Dracula, if his accessories are two voluptuous blond & redhead.

I ordered a few. Hopefully the quality is good and it would be nice if the figures could swap out headsculpts or other pieces with Marvel Legends. If things are good I could order more, guess I'll find out.

So true, hasblo in general is just a total rip off….. look at what these smaller companies are offering - and they’ll be trying to make profits and break even themselves with these prices - so shows how much big companies are screwing us over with re-use etc!

With McFarlane giving mostly new sculpts and also Mattel making seven inch figures under $25 and both companies using more plastic. The value in Legends is not the best deal.

If we are being honest. Hasbro will give you an extra set of hands and an extra head and called that a deluxe. They are that cheap. This is why I wait till everything goes on clearance. And if I miss out so be it

A complaint of most people who collect the 4" Eagle Force line has been the almost total absence of accessories (save for a few hands, a pistol and maybe an extra head). For $27 US the Eagle Force figures basically are just the figures and fans are told it's impossible to accessorize a figure at that price. But, for only a few bucks more, Monster Force has multiple different heads, tons of specific weapons and some amazing paint apps and sculpts. After seeing these I'm cancelling my Eagle Force preorders and walking away as I think this is where Fresh Monkey Fiction is putting their efforts.

Ehhhh.... I mean Gi joe classifieds kinda come with a pretty good amount of accessories. Add in a couple of heads and hands they'd probably be in the same price range. Of course that's their in house brand so they can add in more stuff. I don't collect Legends/Black series so can't speak on those.

I'm all in, I love Fresh Monkeys 4 inch figures. Theses look equal to the likes of Legends, Classified, Valaverse, they may cost more then Legends but you get more accesories, and the price of Legends keeps creeping up.

Pretty exciting. I’m liking the look of some of them. Check out their Eagle Force stuff, I got some of their stuff last year. Half tempted to cancel the 4” Forgotten King and pre-order that 6” figure. They have some pretty funny figures as well in the Eagle Force line.

Yeah I saw it nice stuff but didn't want to collect that scale. But these look GI Joe compatible. I will probably buy one or two when out. And if I like it get more. So far I like the generic military guys and the white Egyptian suit figure.

Totally agree. A nuance Ive noticed - I watched the Diamomd select castevania Dracula figure in stock for a few months, sell out here, then there, stupidly missed him twice by a bees d*ck, and then sell out in AU, then throughout US all stock already gone (AU stock was running longer at lower price point), then find a few here and there over course of last 2-3 years on eBay only, nowhere else than a random pop up on Amazon (same figure from same person for higher price (Amazon shows prices increasing and decreasing), then eBay sell out over and over again, and is now so hard to find you have to pay through the toothless mouth left from frustration………:/ SO > this figure in my opinion will sell extremely easily without the equal accessories and for same price point as others.

@@rpcomics if want Roman soldiers - check out bigbadtoystore. They have a new line - but my favourite by far; Combatants by Xesray 1/12. Those are such awesome figures! On mythic level maybe more for figure movement.

True but independent companies have to charge more because they are small. And these don't seem like a mass retail chain item is another reason costs are up. Nut yeah it's not for everybody and that is okay.

I see this company getting sued by Gamesworkshop as the weapons for the Sleepwalker Obsidian, Sleepwalker Crimson Moon and Sleepwalker Heavy Weapons are stolen from one of their model ranges.

And I hope these mo’fo’s take over the world! I’ve suggested a number of toy lines to places like valaverse for a competing faction idea of battles and for war - and never hear anything back. Always disappoints me when another success story won’t support the next up and coming people or even mention them, or have any of his fan base realise and see the potential like what he did with his experiences and views. F.I.S.T. Action figures were an easy solution and can’t wait for them to come without needing back of US (yes check your history people with how Americans generally support people from another country!), think these guys will be as fluid as gijoe to use as enemies & frenemies alike. Woooo Hooooo!:)

I bought a Valaverse figure was disappointed it didn't connect with me. I'd rather have the GI Joe Classified which I am liking so far. Then a company that is trying to copy off the GI Joe line of figures.

@@rpcomics eh, look into back story of Bobby Vala. He is a punk In many ways. He’s doing amazing things for toy community, but I can’t argue if you don’t connect. For many it was timing and being able easily add into gijoe line as look so similar. I love what valaverse is doing - just think he needs be careful not becoming what he left.

Good idea, bloody hands, bloody face and maybe swap arms and jacket with blood on it. Compared to the others for the same price accessory wise you get a lot less.

So true but all these crowd funded yes can't expect them to be cheap. I noticed last few years the Jurassic Park line and the MOTU that the 6 inch or the 7 inch scale has now become an industry standard for many companies.
