He looks great and I imagine that they would pair up well with the iron grenadiers from classified but I'm not too sold on the head sculpt. I imagine that they look better in hand than on video. Great unboxing and review video as always Chris 👍

My lighting does make the shiny helmets look even shiner, and they are a bit big. It didn't occur to me to drop the IG in the comparison shots but it would be a good fit. You thinking of getting some Operation Monster Force in the collection Wil?

I bought the Crimson Sleep Walker to check out the line. I may pick up another. I did also preorder Crimson Moon guy as I want werewolf soldiers. Added bonus is it fits in with these. Maybe I’ll get a black/red one for variety. I love the monster element and while I want one of those whacked out super wolf action figures from like Loose Collector or something like that, I like the soldier wolf look too. These Sleep Walkers are zombie reanimated corpses to me. I try to play with the posture to make them more monster like. Yeah I think I may grab the black one. Personally the green lasers in with the more green one appeal to me better. I’ll find effects from other figs. They are all painted up red though. Hmmm? Green lasers feel more spooky to me. I did grab a vampire soldier and Forgotten King. Just sampling. Maybe another two in January after I spend loads on Christmas time. I don’t think there are more Monster Force till Q2 next year. I definitely preordered the Frankenstein warrior. More fun to come.

Yeah - it's def a while for the Crimson Moon stuff and the the other Monster Force waves. I love that our attraction to the line is different too: you're in for the supernatural/occult-y story-telling and I'm in for the nostalgic inspiration points. I think that's a success for Fresh Monkey Fiction that they appeal to us in those different ways. There will be folks all in on the figs that appeal to the more traditional military line characters they have too. And I agree - Green absolutely has a more spooky vibe. 100%

Loads of stuff. It's tonnes of fun if you like some good fiddly bits to play around with. Fiddly is the word though - since recording the vid I've come close to loosing a few of the plug in bits to the carpet monster LOL You'll have to let me know how you get on with it if you order one Jono - Kapow Toys over here in the UK might be a better bet for you than BBTS maybe?

If |I had to guess why they slapped 'Tesla-core' (or whatever you want to call such a style) It might be a combination of Doctor Frankenstein's Lab and Ghostbusters. If I was going to point at a Movie that this line reminded me of (that wasn't a Horror Movie) then it would be The Rocketeer : kzbin.info/www/bejne/eqDJY2yifdpnn9E & the similar The Video game Dark Void.

I'm not as familiar with Dark Void, but can totally see the Rocketeer association for sure. That pulpy, retro-futuristic, steam-punky thing is totally there - even down to villainous WW2 aesthetic.

This is the most tempting line, outside of Classified Series for me right now. I'm waiting for the next wave of reveals and hoping it includes the Red Devil figure from the 13 Ghosts faction.

I might be making this up in my head... but didn't Fresh Monkey Fiction tease something like that for a future wave? Or a threshold unlock or something? It is a super tempting line, but I'm sticking to my complimentary ones and resisting all urges to go in deep. Nostalgia inspired ones or good cross-fits for me only... That wolf does look awesome though. and that Count Dracula. And that weird imp soldier guy... STOP IT CHRIS! LOL

I just did a google (I don't know my 40K all that well.) and I can see why you'd say that. There is def a resemblance. Are the Skitarrii a tech/occult-y type thing too?

Tech for sure, they are mechanically augmented cyborgs from Mars. They worship the machine spirit (~ai) Definitely check out scitarii vanguards
