The Marine Area Command was earlier this year part of a multinational operation targeting foreign illegal and unregulated fishing, linked to organised crime, off Australia's East Coast.
Operation Nasse 2021 was coordinated by the Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA) and involved authorities from Australia, France, the United States and New Zealand.
Over three weeks in July and August this year, the joint forces conducted air surveillance and boardings, while sharing intelligence, to combat illegal fishing.
Police from the Marine Area Command (MAC) were joined by officers from AFMA onboard police boat Nemesis over a week.
In this video, we take you onboard the Nemesis, Australia's largest police boat, for a glimpse into their journey on the High Seas.
