Captain Peter Hammarstedt returns to Melbourne, Australia for the 2016 Ocean Defence Tour.
In his latest round of public events Captain Peter Hammarstedt reviews some of Sea Shepherd's most recent campaign successes, in particular Operation Icefish and Operation Albacore, and launches a fundraising appeal for Sea Shepherd's 11th whale defense campaign, Operation Nemesis.

I'd love to join but the fact volunteers have to provide our own airfare to wear for the campaign departs from.... most of sea shepherds most Avid supporters couldn't afford that... do you know how much it cost for a plane ticket from Sacramento International Airport in California to anywhere in Australia it's in the range of 4 digits

Pro Whaler Japanese didn't whale anymore in the beginning of the last century. Whaling was solution for famine caused by WWII. Re-introduction of whaling was invented by US Army after surrender of WWII. But nowadays it is not anymore matter of life and death for Japan. Nowadays it is pr-catastrophe for Japan. And catastrophe for eco-system. Completely useless conduct and just goes to show what stubborn culture they have on that island.
