Now that I realize capping all the bases gets bunker to open, so it makes sense and I'm aware my sight setup was bad Also, I would complain more about performance, but that's one of those things unavoidable at a drop. The NPC's are literally insane, they have an accuracy that's impossible for long ranges and they can also detect you from like a mile away, which makes it insanely difficult to stealth it or snipe without being shot at. There's also the problem of NPC's being stuck underground. but for a humongous update, these things are negligible. This update is the best thing to ever happen to BRM5

Administrator gnar said they are gonna add all the items from the old game back slowly cause they wanted to put it in a good place first. Also every gun can have suppressor, you just have to put a different flash hider on and you can cover it with a suppressor. Good luck.

All things considered, I'm pretty pleased with how the initial launch went. For those of us who have actually been around the block, watching the game grow, it's pretty heartwarming to see guys come to love the game again. Perfect in its current state? Hell no, far from it. I won't pretend like there aren't glaringly obvious issues especially with UX, customization (or lack thereof), and some terrain errors. Despite running hundreds of closed tests for months, nothing puts a game through its paces like thousands of random players will. In any case it's good to see that you're enjoying yourself. Quite frankly, this is the first time in years that I've actually enjoyed playing BRM5.

A bunch of assets (such as lmgs) were cut during testing. About half of the cosmetics and weapons are not fixed yet. I can't wait. Just everytime they try to do a large update, there's always issues. But, even with the assets cut for now, it feels very fun. Ignoring the bugs and spawning issues... And falling through the map, it's a really good update.

For one of the first operations I've seen the launch of (I've been around since feburary 2022 I believe), THIS WAS AWESOME. All that it needs is a whole hell of alot of bug fixes, tweaks to some things, and whatnot, but that was not bad at all for the first day!

Frankly I have 2 main complaints about the combat. Your recoil is stupidly high, a trained special operator is not going to struggle to hold a rifle down on semi-auto, if it’s a good rifle maybe not even on automatic. Also, the enemy has absurd aimbot now, they can use some random AK and headshot you easily from 500ft, they have no max range and can aimbot well past the render distance, they rarely miss a shot and if 3-4 shoot at you, you just die instantly.

Played in a priv server with 3 other buds. The reinforcements system felt like fighting Sisyphus (at least, in my experience). You’d knock them down to 20 guys and they’d just go “sike! Now you’re up to 40!” We didn’t get a single base cleared (partially our crappy prioritization… we got 3/4ths the way through and decided to switch off the Depot City. Idk if it’s still called Depot. Before Pentrakata - butchered the name XD) in the 4(ish) hours we spent. But as soon as the site got reinforcements, it got kinda impossible to survive. Felt like it didn’t matter *where* you went.. the enemies would find a way to steamroll you. 1 life… 2 lives… 3 lives… 4. Didn’t matter. The NPCs felt like they had super vision with the detection thing. Me and my team got fully spotted coming around the corner to Village… and even *on* the cliff to the site. I’ll take this one step further - me and my team got spotted coming around the bend to Sochriana. Granted, we were in a small ground vehicle in broad daylight. Though, I doubt I could see any enemy in my 3x-18x scope (I think that was the range I had on it. Some high magnification like that). I’d also like to note that they also felt like they were blind as a bat whenever you shot one of their buddies from stealth. Me and another friend of mine almost duo’ed Village just by sniping people from the top cliff. We were prone - any other way we’d be spotted. Still: we maintained stealth, even when I think we shouldn’t have. Adjustments to the detection radius (and maybe the addition of more tuned combat-detection mechanics, like how enemies would be alerted if they witnessed someone get shot) are some things I’d recommend personally.

When you load in pvp you get to see that spraying with an ak is a bad idea at long range (talking about the ak 101) but thats why they melt close - medium range, i like this sort of balancing, only thing that is off is that almost every other assault rifle is good for long range spraydowns.

I spent around 30 minutes trying and this gave me the basic knowledge on how to fly a heli, at that point you just have to constantly use the helicopters to move around the map instead of cars to improve you flying skills. I will agree with you, at first, it is very painful trying to learn how to fly. I almost threw my mouse against the wall out of frustration.

Great update, the enemies detection radius needs to be nerfed by a lot and currently I CAN'T play... The ping starts at 500 when I first join, then by the time I get to an area to fight the ping has risen to above 100k to 1 million, meaning it takes ten minutes after hitting F to get out of my vehicle to actually get out. So, cool? Yes. Unplayable? Also, yes.

Also if youre trying to save money, you should spend it on these things first: -GPNVG-18 (buy this first theres a free version its 48k) -L4/G4 mount for NVG -Assault Rifles (sniping takes a long time to get a decent amount of cash) -RH556C flash hider (allows you to use suppressors) -Humvee with M2 OGPK + Roof modification (helis are almost impossible to fly without crashing) -MPC 2.0 and single M4 pouch -3x2.5 NIR reflective patch (for flags of nations) -AEGIS Maritime -G33 (1.725) magnification scope -Dont buy any helicopters unless you are used to ARMA 3/Reforger controls -Commset V (if you want to use earwear) -M1128 CV with CROWS modification (this is if you want to operate the turret from the inside, the Humvee is still a good option) -AN/PEQ-15 and M600V (both have infrared lights and the AN/PEQ-15 has infrared lasers)

Review (Extensive) : Insane LAG : Bugs everywhere, especially from npcs inside the map : Stupidly accurate AI. Literally, just by seeing you, they give you an ista kill. (This is more noticeable on a custom server without much lag) They literally look at you and even if their back is turned, they see you, they turn 360, they shoot once and that's it, you're dead. And also that they are able to see you from 2km away even if you are on the top of a mountain and you haven't even shot anyone. (spider sense). Yes I hate the new AI. literally unplayable. Not even the terminators from Arma 3 or Tarkov are such beasts : The new aa in naval that is as absurd as the other npc but this time it is capable of shooting down your helicopter to the other side of the map : I don't know if it's because of the lag but the hits take a long time to register. Even if you hit a headshot many times you will have to keep giving 2 or 3 more headshots to the same npc for him to register it and die : In general the biggest problem is the AI ​​and the lag. (And the optimization) Otherwise the update is very cool. The new helicopter mechanics (Recreation of the Arma 3 ones). The new map feels more unique. Snipers work much better.Before with the snipers, if you shot a person at 300 meters you would hit them, but if you tried to hit the npc that was next to them just a little higher, you had to raise or lower your sights about 300 meters more. And from my experience Until now that has not happened to me again. The new inventory system helps a lot to avoid having to return to the base every 2 minutes because you run out of bullets (Very useful for weapons with little ammunition). There are many very good and entertaining new mechanics. WE FINALLY HAVE A MAP. The new interface is very good. The menu to invite people and create your squad of friends. We have fewer camouflages and customizations but it is part of the entire redesign and they will surely add more things. I hope they fix the errors soon and we can enjoy all the good things that are overshadowed by those errors.

@@clock-on1fl The Mi-8 is the first Heli to be exclusive for OPFOR and it was fully modeled, Including interior. The devs somewhat had change of mind about the Mi-8 from being pilotable by players to being an OPFOR only helicopter
