Operation Santa Claus 2022 Highlights

Jointly organised by Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) and the South China Morning Post (SCMP), Operation Santa Claus (OSC) continued to promote the spirit of helping and caring to benefit those in need in the city, raising more than HK$16.7 million in donations, and overcoming another year of challenges.
This year’s campaign was supported by ambassador, award-winning actress Crisel Consunji. “I love Hong Kong. It’s my second year being an OSC ambassador. Hong Kong has overcome a lot, and OSC has also survived a tough year. Grateful OSC has brought people from all walks of life together, sharing the values of love and care with the humanity shining through,” she said.
Over a hundred companies, organisations and schools, plus thousands more individuals, showed their generous support this year. OSC celebrated the conclusion of this year’s campaign by announcing four awards to noteworthy donors for their fundraising efforts. They are:
● Top Corporate Fundraiser - Morgan Stanley
● Most Creative Corporate Fundraiser - HKSH Medical Group
● Top School Fundraiser - DSC International School
● Most Creative School Fundraiser - Shung Tak Catholic English College
The funds raised by this year’s OSC campaign will be shared amongst 15 beneficiaries across the city that serve more than 12,000 people and support disadvantaged communities, including charities serving the causes of children and youth, the community, the environment, medical, elderly, and those with physical and mental disabilities.
Since its inception in 1988, OSC has raised more than $369 million for 338 charitable projects by Hong Kong-based charities.
