Yes, we have have been battling with aging DCC power boosters and switches that are starting to flake out. We are slowly refreshing the wiring under the layout. Its takes a great deal of time and patience but we are getting there. Fun fact, there is over 5 miles of wiring underneath the layout. Factor in the signal system, power bus for the DCC system, power feeds, layout lighting and effects...it adds up quick for a layout of this size.

Another great video. The concept of a local switcher working the towns is an excellent idea. I wish I had a straight line drawing of both levels of your layout, it would be very helpful in understanding some of the moves. I think I've watched all of your videos and your You Tube and Facebook pages don't show one. Any idea where I can get one?

Well, with that said, I'll get with the crew and see if we can make something to better illustrate the layout in the fashion that you're requesting. We actually have one in each town thats pinned to the side of the layout as a reference for the switch crew. We made sure that our locals put up a challenge for everybody. You really have to think it through to be successful. Thats what we love!

The flash of the railfan blew my mind. Where are you guys located? The cities are those of WVa. Is this open to public to view. I’m a retired CSX engineer. I eventually want to get involved in something as this. Thanks for the high quality work. It does my heart and mind good. Since my stroke and retirement of disability, this jogs my memory on signals, and so forth.

Hi, we are located in Orlando, FL. The club is open to visitors on saturdays. Club members have access 24/7. We also have a couple of retired CSX employees that belong to the club including a former CSX dispatcher that is our dispatcher for our operating sessions
