Fix: 11:42 Ascalon S3 range is actually not the exact same as Mizuki S3. Mizuki has one more tile furthest forward. Sorry for the mistake.

Another (minor) nitpick; Mizuki's S1 DPS is also wrong. You have his (arts) DPS listed as what he would have with Max stats, but didn't include the talent improvement from his module. His arts DPS WITHOUT module would be ~360 but with max module it's ~467. Arts DPS of ~381 would be with the stat buffs from module but sans the talent improvement.

​@@DragonGJY I appear to have made a mistake somewhere with my first pass on math. That is my bad. Also it looks like you (somehow) accounted for Ascalon's interval and SP costs being misaligned. Looking back on my (relatively) simple mistake makes me shudder at the math required for that calculation. What exactly is her relative uptime? It looks to be about 40%, though that is without pots so that probably screws the math up more.

@@zancloufer for these kind of skills you often get pretty off results using pure stats. I usually use Python or just go in game to simulate a 120s timeline, see how many auto attacks and skills they do, and do the calculation of DPS in that timeline.

I totally understand people skipping due to the upcoming banner but she helped me immensely in clearing H13-3. She just *stops* the slug spam, allowing you plenty of time and space to focus on the boss and the few really nasty enemies. If you have a good roster, her QoL features are excellent no matter if you're big-braining it or just need a little time for the unga bunga to come online.

That’s more of an ambusher thing overall tbh, Ascalon is really good at that but I used Mizuki for the same purpose in H13-3 and 4.

@@ketsura3618 Who said anything about a singular stage? If you watched the video, you'd know the slow (and pretty busted DoT, especially featuring upcoming ops) is the point of the character. The stage was just an example, since it bumrushes you with annoying units designed to soak damage from the big boys that matter. She's also going to be an absolute champ in IS5. It's such a weird thing in the EN community, where if you comment anything that isn't the peak DPS character, people must tell you that you're playing bad and wrong. It's not kindergarten, people are allowed to have fun in more than one way. I'm pretty good for pulls and the paradox with a giga-banner like the upcoming one is that everyone on my friends list will have turbomaxed Walters and Logos if by some cosmic bad luck I miss out. Those two will never ever be unavailable for loan, unlike Ascalon.

She really is a RA GOAT, I used her yesterday for the new critical difficulty mode thing they added and her AoE slow on chokepoints makes so, so much time for everyone else to kill the 200+ enemies coming comfortably. I really like playing Manticore and Ethan when playing no 6-star teams and Ascalon's DoT slow gameplay feels so good, banger character fr 🙏 Thank you for the video! You're the best, seriously.

I've been thinking a lot about how Ascalon's passive is a stronger version of Ethan and Manticore's S1 mashed together.

I've been really loving her so far. My teams the last year or so have always been based on killing enemies rather than having to tank them and she fits in perfectly with that style. Crowd control just seems incredibly powerful for most content and I find myself even using Shu more for her excellent crowd control than her block count. Ascalons slow and debuff duration fits in perfectly.

With the showcases I've seen, I'm almost surprised that Ascalon isn't treated as a damage dealer! To be fair, she doesn't output it like Mlynar or similar, but I think she impresses over time. It makes me really happy to see you pair Manticore with Ascalon in the video and talk about it; my beautiful Manti can continue on as a support for Ascalon rather than be completely replaced!

She's so cool I knew I had to pull for her despite the next banner being overpowered. Slowknights are my favorite niche and I've already been having a ton of fun with her, so I have no regrets. 180 pull, got 2 saga, ray, gnosis, jessica alter & ray. Not too bad i guess, still have 261 pull had to cancel my plan to pull for nymph, But worth it at least. Had to pull ascalon after reading the babel event, so i can reunite her with her king after ch 14 drop😭

You can really feel the impact of her in the team with how she really singlehandedly stall and kill all the fodder with S2 while making the elites very vulnerable. The scoring really mirror how some people feel about her banner because most I see not going for her really plan on using Wisadel to get trimmed medal for their usual AK contents. I know a few streamers who have that attitude as well because they just buy the level in IS and never play RA. The stuff without access to on-demand support somewhat expect you to have a stronger and varied roster will make you wish you have Ascalon for how much she provides. And using her with Mizuki has been a lot of fun when I got a chance to do so in IS. You can take turn using their S2 CD and it can create up to a 6 x 3 + 2 zone of "Don't even try to move". You survive all the slow+poison? you die to bind+poison+mizuki damage

comparing their tankiness to melee units is wrong. they are block 0, they aren't tanking melee enemies, they are only tanking ranged enemies. same as other ranged operators. unless you crank their block. they are effectively a DPS option you can place on the low ground when high ground tiles don't make sense.

Luckily didnt take much to pull her especially with the very cheap store 12 pull exclusive tickets. 35 altogether, and shes been great in all IS content and RA so far as well as extremely fun to solo some stages for farming. If you can afford her, definitely pull. If not, and you dont want to break out that credit card, as said, hold the line for the next banner!

I try to get her on 10 pulls chances on Higher Rarity but lose on 50/50 and get Horn instead not bad I might say. It lefts me with potential 90 pulls on Wis'adel banner. Not only saving on pulls but also resources so I can Max them up promptu and require me to save 3M LMD. 24 Module Block and bunch of Elite Materials. So yeah hope it's gonna be smooth pulls so that I can pull to Ulpianus as I have AH squad.

Just wondering, Ambushers trait is Attack all enemies Within range, but none of them that attack air, right? Do they attack hovering enemy? While at it, I'm not sure about who actually can attack hovering enemies *other than range units.

how do movement speed reduction works in AK ? its not only apply the highest effect ? also if i remember correctly slow and move reduc are program differently even the move reduction reach 90% its dont count as slow

i like her design, kit is pretty good. but the chances of me using her in general are way too low. I can easily get her if I wanted to but there are some operators coming up that I'd much rather have. also I've got like over 400 pulls.

Huge Ambusher user here (all but Ethan maxed), it's definitely not a class for everyone. Don't fall for the hype, you aren't missing out on much, especially since Ascalon is just a sidegrade for Mizuki whom you most likely already have.

Sadly the coolest super assasin in lore ended up being just ambusher, still better then viviana treatment. I like her, but many new or f2p playaers, who dont have texas, really need a good executor, with respect to phantom, and even on cn they dont have one.

No, Qiubai Slow needs specifically “Slow” and not “-x% Movement speed”

"Slow" is different from "Movement Speed Reduction" in Arknights. They are 2 different effects and that's why I tried to stick to the term as much as possible. And no, it doesn't. Slow = Movement Speed Reduction of 80% for a period of time.
