Yeah, winter is cold and snowy, though this was a bit more than usual, and the same weather system that caused this got us in Southern AZ, too. I’m surprised Tucson didn’t get snow - we got a few days of very wet weather instead. Mt. Lemmon and the Catalinas got an unusually heavy snowfall. The desert can get terribly cold. Tucson’s been known to drop down to 18F.

We have a downhill curve in front of our house and cars run off the road every time it snows. We help them get back on the road, where, no doubt, they run off somewhere farther on.

Late in 1977 I drove through the mountains outside of Flagstaff during a blizzard. I was the last car through the escalation point as the Sheriff closed the highway. As harrowing an experience as I can remember ever driving, and I’m from Wisconsin! Had a ‘66 Ford Ranch Wagon. Fortunately got behind a plow as I was coming down the other side. Beautiful now, to see it at a distance

Fun fun amphibian vehicles throughout. Washington state has double black switchers. Illinois has Yin and Yang engines. The black diamond NS has a showing of a red caboose.
