@@standinginmist they are not nearly as good as this video, I'm happy Mikael is back with new growl content but they never went away anyway, they always play old classics live, but once again, the visheral, throaty growls are gone

@@standinginmist glad you aren't one of the delusional fans which seem to crawl out like ants saying "he still growls! they sound amazing like before" lol they must be deaf, stupid or both. Mikael has made a great comeback from the pretty bad 2008-2014 phase, he has found a spot for his voice where he still sounds pleasing and even great in some cases, but nothing will come close to the early 2000s. I think they wisely changed the style a bit for his growl style too, the watershed tracks and the new one fit it very well, whereas deliverance, drapery falls and demon of the fall have lost the original spirit his former voice could pull off. anyway thanks for not being an idiot ahah 🤙

When you did that, anything they released after would never sound as good as their old stuff. I still remember the disappointment when they released Deliverance/Damnation, and pretty much everything else thereafter. Not the band's fault, it's just perception.

Little of topic but I was thinking the other day of how I wish there was a Making of still life like there is for the rest of the albums minus pale communion. We all know it started with blackwater park but it would have been so awesome to see a making of for still life and MAYH.

There’s simply no “making” in Still Life, there were no demos made. Mikael went from writing the album roughly on paper to the studio. The man’s pure genius
