Sorceress and Pale Communion had a lod of heavier stuff too with drop tunings and what have you, personally I love their current sound with the keyboards and warmer guitars. Heaviness doesn't have to equal screaming.

I loved the Swedish version, but boy, English sure is a melodic language, a natural fit for rock music. I remember thinking this when I couldn’t understand a word in English, and I kinda get a confirmation hearing those two versions now.

I found out about opeth nearly 20 years ago when i googled "heaviest metal song" and found blackwater park. I was not dissapointed, and never have been by opeth, no matter how much they change. I am really happy they are putting it out in swedish as well. I dont understand it, but opeth is so masterful at portraying emotions through music it doesnt matter.
