NOTE: Please use headphones or quality speakers/monitors! The frequencies generated by this pedal will not translate through smartphone or laptop speakers!
Down and low we go with this one of a kind pedal by Italian pedal maker OPFXS, the innovative company of Omar Pellegrinelli.
For more information on this pedal and other OPFXS products, please visit:

Signal chain:
Fender American Standard Telecaster (2011), Boss DD-20 (only for looping), OPFXS Dig Deep, GFI CabZeus into DAW.
For the composition at the beginning of the video, I also used a Strymon Big Sky, a Cooper FX Generation Loss and an Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Big Muff together with the OPFXS Dig Deep.
As always, of you like this video, please give us a thumbs up and subscribe!

Also, send low split to a looper would be interesting.

I’d love to try it after a dense long reverb effect. It’s got to get crazy in an special way ...

Only tried before but if it's anything like Strymon's ice setting with a lower octave, it sure is a spreaker blower! (In the best possible way ahah)

Any chance of a demo of this using acoustic guitar?

At the moment, I'm afraid I don't have the necessary equipment to make that happen but I am curious. If I get the chance to do it with some borrowed electro-acoustic, I'll do it :)

I would like to hear overdriven tones. Split from a tuner out. A dedicated low out to send to a bass amp or D.I. would be cool.

I focused more on the clean side of things other than the fuzzed out part in the beginning but that's usually the case in my demos other than dirt pedals but I remember hearing some dirt tones on the official OPFXS video :) A for the suggestions, those are cool indeed! It can be done if you split the signal somewhere before the Dig Deep and just keep the Sub level up and run it through a different path for ultra low sounds.

Is there any pedal like this that tracks the lowest note but doesn't drop it by an octave?

Boss' oc-3 let's you select the range of lower notes that the pedal tracks however, it also lowers it by an octave. What would you like the pedal to do? I know boss/Roland's synth pedals allow you to do that but then again, they use a special pick up

@@pedalcasters I think I misunderstood what this pedal was doing at first. I thought it was doing something similar to what you can do with the new Asteriode. Basically, sample your lowest note (not neceesarily octave down though) and then add that tone into subsequent notes that were above the frequency cutoff for sampling...or maybe just play your last low note as a drone for some settable period of time (or until another note below the frequency threshold is played, in which case that new frequency becomes the drone).

@@MichaelFaughnThey are indeed different, this one really is great to be always on, fattening up parts or to accentuate certain parts.

How does a 7 string do with this pedal?

Can't say I know, I don't own one but if anyone interested in lower tunnings, baritones or 7 or more stringed guitars, I would recommend reaching out to OPFXS before purchasing as I know that with their synth pedal, they fine tune the unit to work with whatever tunning the end user has in mind :)
