I made 4 of these bags, gave 2 to my friends and i use them for my tarot cards and my Dungeons and dragons dice. LOVE THE PATTERN it is so easy to follow and you explain it really clearly! thank you very much :D much love from the Netherlands

I 💕all the denim color yarns out now. Drops even has recycled Cotton or cotton blend in denim colors. Almost every brand has at least one denim color. Thanks!The bag is adorable.

I am a total amateur with just a nostalgic loving memory of knitting with the Matriarchs of my family, long sonce past now, thats got me knitting again, so thank you so much for doing this and being such a good teacher. I noticed that whenever I try and start my magic circle, I won't be able to pull the hole tightly. The yarn just gets stuck in the knot. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong as I followed your instructions, and you gave perfectly clear ones as well.

My sister in law told me she always wanted a drawstring bag and I have never made one so I found your video and so I made her a small Ophelia bag with beads well my cousin saw it and now I've made 2 well I want to say thank you for this video and also the video of how to do the flat round even though I know I always want to make sure I'm doing it right because I want to try to make my own bag of different types for gifts also

My granddaughter comes up to me and says, gramma can you make me a purse please? I said of course, but she says can you make it with pull strings. I found your amazing drawstring bag (love it) I made one in pink my granddaughter LOVES IT! Now she would like one for her dolls Oh boy I shaid I will try. I love your projects. Thank you.

Thank you for this easy tutorial. I made the base circle a little larger with hopes of keeping my Caron Big cakes in check. Even though I totally messed up the counts and stitches :), the pattern is so forgiving it's totally not noticeable. The drawstring cinches up wonderfully to corral those cakes that completely fall apart a third of the way in.

These are so pretty .. eat instructions to follow.. my only question is how do I make them so the holes are tighter. I used peaches and cream cotton 8-4 but I still have holes... Please help... Should I maybe use, cotton 8-8??

Hi Tiggeroo, yes, I'd suggest you either use a smaller hook, or a thicker yarn, either way you should get a denser fabric, thank you for watching, Anja x

Something I accidentally did but actually like the look of a lot is doing the bottom with looser stitches and then doing the final ring with tighter stitches on a slightly smaller needle. It makes the edges curl up naturally and gives the bag a rounded look :D (Then skip the 'corner' row and move straight onto the sides.)

@@faridabohra7355 I don't know the technical term, but the row where you transition from doing the bottom to doing the side, by only go through half the stitch (one loop instead of two) that makes it have an angle. Does that make sense?

On the row where you're going into the top loop to start building the sides of the bag. At the end, you've done all your hdc in each st. Are you going into the "V" of the chain or of the first hdc?

I think I will be making this purse for my Sister in Law, in fall colors, but I'd like to make it a bit wider at the base, by maybe 2 more rounds. Need some guidance as to pattern to use for those 2 rounds?

Hi Debbie, for the next 2 rows you just need to follow the same pattern using one extra stitch each time between the increasing, this will make the rounds grow. Hope that helps, Anja x

hi this is my second time making this bag and im noticing when i start working on the V cluster rows my last hole in the round is always bigger than the others. any advice how to fix this?

Hello thank you for this tutorial. If I wanted to make the bag bigger what kind of multiples of stitches per round would i want to begin the top part of the bag, or does it matter? In other words could I just do one extra rounds of the bottom and be ok to begin the top portion of the bag? thank you

I have made 5 bags and keep having the same problem every time. The holes get bigger on every row I start. I've pulled it tight as it will go and it doesn't help. Please help. I really wanted to make these for gifts.

i have hard time trying to figure it out, the instructions aren't very clear the shape turns out fine but i keep getting the sts count wrong no matter how much i try to follow its so weird

I'm having trouble with the magic circle. When I pull the string all that happens is my slipknot gets tighter and the circle doesn't close. Any idea what I could be doing wrong here? Thank you!

What if my circle starts to get curved? Its not staying straight but getting above the ground.. is it cool?

@@OpheliaTalks i was trying to do double after each round ( 10-20-40 etc) but I guess its wrong so I opened it and starting it all over again. Thankyou for replying!

following your instructions and counting and double checking I always get more than 50 on round 5. if I have omit a stitch to get 50 I will do so, but I followed along exactly. still a nice tutorial though
