I crocheted this for my Macbook using a cotton macrame yarn from Hobby Lobby. One day when I was running down the sidewalk, my computer inside the case went flying out of my backpack! Upon examination my computer sustained one very tiny scuff and the crocheted case ripped a hole. Long story short, this pattern saved a broke college student!!

So cute!!! I'd love to get some of that yarn! I love that pink to gray gradient! 😍 I'll have to look into that. I love cotton and I love polyester, and the combination of both. And it's recycled which I've been trying to do more of lately. Thanks Anja for another fantastic project to add to my ever growing list! ❤️

I know right? My daughter is over in England right now! I'm going to ask her to hunt this brand down and pick some up for me. I don't know how much of anything you can but over there before customs makes you pay some kind of export fee on it, I'll have to ask other to ask around about that. I think there is a base limit for goods brought out. But I am definitely going to ask her to grab me some for me yarn stash.

Hello :) Thank you for your help, I'm a beginner but your explanations are very clear so I can follow easily :) I have a question tho... do I have to do this trick ( 11:41 ) every time I go around a corner as it goes up? I don't know if I'm making myself clear. Or should I continue with basic double crochet, ignoring the corners?
@OpheliaTalks Жыл бұрын
Hi Solene, you continue to finish the row with a SLST, every row. Thank you, enjoy, Anja x
@solenesoleil28 Жыл бұрын
@@OpheliaTalks Thank you for your help ☺️ so I do a slst not at every corner but every row at the same corner right? Sorry for being insistent, just want to be sure that I understood well🥲
@music4all85 Жыл бұрын
Good day Ophelia, I'm still struggling to grasp the corners. After the first two rows / circles (if I may put it that way), do I follow the the same instructions at every turn for the complete work - e.g. s stitch in the third loop; chain one and then half double crochet in the following until you get to the other end?
@OpheliaTalks Жыл бұрын
Hello music4all85, thank you for watching, and yes you need to do HDC, I'm not quite sure what your problem is, if you need more help, please can you clarify!! Anja x

hello, what if I have a thicker laptop, then I should make 2 single stitches as the base?
@jellybean4562 Жыл бұрын
i think that could work but i suggest using a either half double stitch or double crochet stitch instead and then working from there. You can even use treble stitch if its thick enough. I used half double for my chromebook and it worked great.
@Katherinaa0-02 жыл бұрын
I love it!!! Although, I'm kinda confused. If I were to use hdc, will I also use hdc on the corner or still SC? I hope this isn't a confusing question. Thank youu!!

hello, thank you for the tutorial! I am trying to follow the exact tutorial but my edges (the one where we need to skip two and do the slip stitch) are tapering. the number of stitches seem to be getting lesser. anyway I can fix this?
@OpheliaTalks5 ай бұрын
Sam, sadly the only way to really 'fix' it is to frog it back to where you have the right amount of stitches, and make sure you keep a count, every row. The pattern/tutorial is correct as many people have made it successfully, please try again. Thanks, Anja x

Great tutorial! I think I am missing something though.. So after the base is complete and we have to crochet all the way through, do I still make the slip stitch on two corners or only in one? Because I've been doing it on both ends and I think something is wrong :)
@OpheliaTalks Жыл бұрын
cansurendeci251, you only need a slip stitch at the end of the round, to close up, not sure how you're putting one in the other end!! Good luck, Anja x

A 4mm hook is a G Susan. I nearly always use Stylecraft Special DK (SSDK) these days, it has a wonderful range of 100 colours, it's great quality, and wears extremely well, I cannot fault it, BUT, in this video I'm using a ReTwisst Chainy Cotton Cake I had in my stash. Yes, the 6 SC go in the same chain, you are correct. I hope this helps Susan, enjoy, Anja x
