I am having my ophthalmology practical tomorrow. Feel lucky to have found this video. Of course the info can be found in any ophthal book. But what is more valuable in the video is the explanation and concepts which are made very clear. Hope to see more such concept oriented videos from a very informative person like you, thanks a lot sir.

Very helpful video Thanks a lot And Can you please tell more about differentiating features of vanaas scissors from conjunctival and iris . :)
@SanjoySanyal5 жыл бұрын
Conjunctival Sac Scissors are just like a regular scissor; but very small with big finger rings. de' Wecker's Iris Scissors: Small slender (slightly larger than Vanna's) spring-open scissors for intra-ocular maneuvers (iris and deeper and more delicate structures); has two wings to operate it and one sharp and one blunt blade. For Iridectomy To be distinguished from following 2 • Corneal Spring Scissors: Medium-sized, spring-open, used to cut the external side of the Cornea, Fine sutures, Iris, etc. Blades are slightly scooped • Vanna[s Scissors: Very small slender, spring-open scissors for intra-ocular maneuvers (iris and deeper and more delicate structures); has two wings to operate it and one sharp and one blunt blade. Blades may be scooped or angled, Also for Trabeculectomy

Dr. KARAN In Jaffe's Suture tying forceps, the ends are not curved and even the governor is not that prominent
