There are two types of tono meters one is contact other is non contact to meters ...schiotz .goldmans applantion, Perkins.tono peane tono pen tomometrs while non contact is air puff tonometer.....most accurate tono meter is gold man applantion tono meter .....schiotz tono meter works on indentation principle while other tono meters works on flattening principle .....the name of principle of applantion tono meter is called imbert ficks principle .....which states that P=f/ A
