I do wonder how much of this is just greenwashing with a bit of fearmongering, I prefer to see a brand commit and change their entire line. Step by step is fine. But I'm not sure if a separate line will add something other than just more product. I still might pick one up, the swatches looked great!!

Yes, nowhere it says that they're switching their formula not even remotely or steadily, it just looks like they're making this line to cater to people that care about "these issues" and they are losing them as customers to better brands that have understood ethics, sustainability and what we put on our bodies matter, and are 10+free, vegan, CF and even artisan. It's just greenwashing at it's finest, just like cocacola did with that green cola or fast fashion brands with their "eco socks". Making one line of business "eco" when the literal rest of your products remains the same is not real commitment, just a business tactic.

The "3 free" are not even harmful. Those chemicals are what make the nail polish last longer. There's so much misinformation about what's considered "toxic." I would rather have non vegan polish

Agree, it's greenwashing. Switching to more eco-friendly packaging or starting their own mail-in recycling program would be something to actually help the environment.

@@belladonna5904 Yeah, the only things I find that I absolutely "have" to stay away from with nail polish are formaldehyde derivatives and toluene. Toluene in particular makes my hands itch.

Okay I have to say this, as someone with 2 friends with Ph.D.'s in Chem. Please stop saying "dangerous chemicals" it's "POTENTIALLY harmful" as in if you sat in a small room with no ventilation day-in-day-out as a tech for 20-30 years you *might* develop issues or if you ingested it.. It's like Gwyneth Paltrow saying her Goop moisturizer is non-toxic (implying others are toxic).

A lot of definite future colours for me! For myself, the second the word MAUVE is mentioned, I stop paying attention. NATURAL MAUVE? Eeeesh! YOU nailed it; a soft pink shell cream! Now that's something I DID pay attention too. BIG BLOOM DEAL was the stand out for me. GREAT JOB KELLI!

I've always struggled with OPI formulas because they tend to be a little on the runny side for me, but these formulas actually look BETTER than the original.

Omg I love so many of these. The darker reds, purples, teal, blue and dark gray. Gorgeous! I'm also a big fan of streaky frost polishes. Weird, I know, but I was a teenager in the 80s and that's what we had to work with. Lol I hated it back then, but now I feel so much nostalgia for them! I didn't know OPI wasn't cruelty free though. 🙁 In this day and age you'd think they would do better.

Final word on this topic: I called OPI customer service due to inconsistent information: they said that while OPI does not test on animals in USA, “it is up to other countries what they do with our (OPI) products”. China, for example, tests on animals. Simply, this appears to be word games. If a company knowingly sells products to countries that test on animals, that company can’t claim to be cruelty free. I was rushed off the phone when I politely informed them that their company’s reputation is tarnished by knowingly marketing to countries who’s practices include testing on animals. Bottom line: I will continue to NOT buy OPI products nor support this company due to NOT being cruelty free worldwide.

Finally a natural formula that doesn’t require a special base coat and top coat and special remover! I was looking at some natural polishes earlier they are water based and you need a special sealer (base/top coat) and nail polish remover. So nice to have a polish that is natural and also I love that they used recycled materials for the packaging! Way to go OPI! Also I love edm music, also love heavy metal lol, but I’d honestly listen to anything now a days

@@VickIngInTheSky so in the context of beauty products, vegan means the product does not contain animal ingredients (for example, no ingredients like carmine, which is a red pigment made of crushed bugs). Cruelty free means the product isn't tested on animals before selling to people! So in this case, as far as I'm aware, OPI is still doing animal testing, but the products are not made from animal ingredients.

Opi is my favorite polish brand. Essie is too streaky on me and doesn’t last as long on my nails and I always use a smoothing base coat. Zoya has some gorgeous colors but I have to go online for it. I don’t own any Zoya currently but I owned a blue shimmer from them a few years ago but gave it away because it started chipping a day or two later. I wash my dishes at home and wasn’t using gloves at the time. Thanks for sharing 💅🏾💅🏾

Haven’t finished the video yet, but I’m interested to see if they’ll release future colors from the regular line in this one. Like how they do with the infinite shine line. This is such a cool thing for them to do and I really want to try out a color or two from this new line. Ok! Back to the video 😂 **ok back after the video and I really hope they release new collections in this line as well as the others. The swatches were amazing! I think my favorites were “Cactus What You Preach” and “All Heal Queen Mother Earth”. I love hearing what everyone listens to music wise. I definitely didn’t expect the EDM from you! My boyfriend listens to a lot of EDM and music around that genre so that exposed me to that type of music. I’m still a huge fan of pop punk. I also really like psychedelic rock and some of the hard rock. All that being said 90s country has a special place in my heart. Alright, enough about my music taste 😂

I’m yet to purchase more OPI … I have one, ‘Gelato on my Mind’ is what it’s called, I think? Haha, they really have a way with memorable names. But wow, what a range of colours here to consider purchasing, and impressive work swatching them all! I spent hours today swatching just five colours ... 30 would take me ages! 😂

I bought Once and Floral right when I heard about this new line. I pretty much feel the same way as you with how good it feels to apply. I think I will wait until they go Cruelty Free before I buy anymore.

Hey Susanne, where did you see it listed as CF? I haven't seen it advertised as such anywhere, and I also haven't seen any info saying otherwise!

Their KZbin video and web site do NOT indicate that these polishes are cruelty free anywhere, so I messaged their website specifically asking if this line is cruelty free. 🤷🏼‍♀️💅🏼

I used to love OPI until I found out they weren't cruelty-free. I was gutted. OPI need to up their game and become cruelty-free - why be vegan but not CF?!

Same here. I used to love Essie and OPI but then I learned that they sell their products in Mainland China and some other countries, where animal-testing is mandatory. I've found China Glaze to be an amazing substitute though. It's CF and a lot cheaper, but not any worse in terms of quality imo.
