Opie wanted Ant to continue to be the broke, talented dude he “found” for HIS radio show. 10:30 Bargains? And Opie says he’s not a cheapskate

Yet another character flaw. I'm surprised he can go out in public without being spit on by strangers tbh.

Opie always sabotages ants stories . I can’t really put my finger on what he does but. He does . There’s this weird resentment opie is trying to joke. Not joke with.

You're viewing this in hindsight, before they started to hate each other.

@@mrt445 I have a podcast with my brother In law. At one point we broke up.. it was this for many episodes. I’m very “in tune” with passive aggressive behavior on air lol Check us out. KZbin: WTF!BUTWHY?

It's because he's a complete narcissist. Like all of them he feels in competition with his so-called friends. He can't stand them getting attention or praise, that's why he always hijacks stories and tries to steer everything into his orbit. It's also why his stories are utterly boring and go nowhere, to him he's highly interesting and important, he has an inflated sense of self as a narcissist. Notice how he's never really had any long-term friends throughout his life? He never really had any stories of his social life compared to Ant or Jim, because he basically didn't have a social life. He either hung out with family or his employees. You can tell he was a loner throughout high school and college, he even had to join in the regimented, forced-fun, college fraternity to try and make friends yet unlike most he didn't retain life long friends from even that. When does he ever bring up stories of him meeting his old frat buddies? People quickly work out he's a narcissist and can't stand being around him.

Wow, Opie’s hateful, resentful envy is on full display

Unsuccessfully hidden under the pretense of a joke or, as Opie likes to say, a bit.

The way Opie built it up I thought Ant spent 30k or something a nice pair of shoes alone can cost $800 & that’s here in NYC -I can’t imagine Rodeo Dr $2500. is cool #MustBeNice 😎

Say what you want, but I never hated Opie on the show back in the day, I felt like the three of them was such a good mix that even him as the semi straight guy worked for me, as much as I love Norton the only way I want him as my first or second mic is if he is with Anthony or one of his l comedian friends, Sam can't get the sort of energy out of Jim the way OnA could, I'm sure the reason jim always sounds tired now is from carrying the show on his back without a second funny person to back him up.
