Fun fact: That clipped tone is a Transatlantic accent. It's a completely made up accent, created when wealthy Americans sent their children overseas to English boarding schools to be educated. Their kids came back speaking a bizarre, hybrid of the English and American accent. There was a huge cottage industry up until the 60s that gave lessons on how to speak with the Transatlantic accent, so you too can sound wealthy and traveled. Hollywood was in love with this accent

I find it funny that Anthony was not fired for this but for the word "savages" that has no racial term to it unless you think of a race of people in that light, he was fired for it.

Try telling that to all the pissed off people who know nothing about the show. He's said much worse stuff, I'd tell 'em. Here he was actually pretty respectful towards her. He wasn't violent. He didn't use a gun. He just took the hits to the face, I'd say . But they'd hear none of it.

Not a single person has sense anymore. Sirius is cutting of their nose to spite their face. I hear many people cite "He violated a decency clause." I laugh in their face and point them to THIS video. And hell Opie released a statement on his first show back after Anthony was fired said "Anthony had no decency standard. That was his clause for joining on with XM.

I want to see this movie but for God's sake don't try to put this crap on "Leave It To Beaver." They would never have a script with lines like that. The Cleavers didn't have any problems with that little taco bender Chewy playing with Beaver in his room. Even though Eddie Haskell made "mucho problemo for Chewy" it all turned out for the best in Mayfield.

Arabs _can_ be White, but most are not. Since it's an ethnic group, they can technically be of any race. And since the Mideast borders Europe, many of them are indeed White. But the problem is that a big chunk (or most) of them are native to the region, which means they ain't White. But they are Caucasian. I like Anthropology.
@runnandgunn9 жыл бұрын
What about Turkish or Armanian?
@johnnonamegibbon35809 жыл бұрын
runnandgunn They seem to be a composite. Some Turks and Armenians are white, others aren't, and yet others are a mixture. Kardashians are a nice example of a mixed European and Near Eastern Caucasian people.
@MiguelSant09 жыл бұрын
worst scientific description ever. some are white... but some arent hahaha Arab is a race - of people from the Arabian peninsula hence Arab - but only people from saudi, uae, bahrain, yemen, oman, kuwait, jordan and iraq are ethnically arab and speak arabic. There arent only white and black people you know. genocides in africa have been done on racial hatred of regional races that would all be considered "black". There's a reason irish and serbians look different because they're a different race of people but would both be considered "white". a dodge charger and a dodge caravan are completely different but are both technically a dodge. you might like Anthropology but you speak fluent Niggology - how dare you blast us with retardation like we dont have the internet and arent on it right now.
@johnnonamegibbon35809 жыл бұрын
Mickey Marlowe I was being informal with the term Arab, I know it's an ethnic term and not a racial one. But when people say White they're referring to the European type of Caucasian. The Near Eastern type is different. This is observable through DNA tests, but is also just obvious by appearance. Native Caucasians of North Africa have common ancestry in the Near East. In other words, they don't appear any differennt from Arabs because they are their descendants or descendants of the same kind of Caucasian. Not the European type. So to put it bluntly, people in the Mideast who look European usually just are racially European. Those who don't are of a closely related race sometimes referred to as Near Eastern Caucasians. But they're not _exactly_ the same, just similar. So are people from the Near East "White" (European Caucasian)? Some are, but most aren't. You'll notice their celeberties and elites tend to look more European than the actual population.

John NoNameGibbon So-called Turkic peoples are originally from Central Asia. They don't fit into any of the racial categories the U.S. government created.

Not for nothing, but this wasn't an American-made movie. It was made in France. That's why the dialogue sounds so awkward. It's dubbed. The only American actor was Gordon Heath, who was born in New York City in 1918 but moved to Paris. He was also the voice of the narrator of the animated Animal Farm from 1954.

It's older than that. Starting in the 1880s or so, prep schools for boys and finishing schools for girls taught diction and elocution so you could sound more upper class. A lot of politicians sounded like that.

We had favorite stations and jocks. I'm glad I got to be a part of it and I'm happy O and A live forever in repeat broadcast
