Opie's level of obscurity is actually impressive if you consider how big he (or rather the radio show he was on) was. I can't really think of anyone that compares. He became a zero overnight and has monumentally failed to retain ANY audience. I actually think I'm one of about 10 weirdos that still keeps an eye on his stuff because it's fascinating to watch in terms of how remarkably bad/unwatched it is. He literally has video conversations with the three people that watch him on Facebook live.

Here, Ant says that Chip IS "loosely based on (Opie)," and that's why Opie hated it. In a courtroom, this would be a moment of "Were you lying then, or are you lying now?" Btw... as I said on that other ACS video, Jimmy was very funny in general when just riffing and cracking jokes, but his characters were f'n terrible. Opie rightfully hated Chip, Uncle Paul, and pretty much anything Jimmy tried to do as a character. That shit was not funny at all. It was annoying. It was easily the worst part of the O&A show.

I love OnA. Started listening when I was 9. Listened to almost every show they ever did. But it's shifty what this turned into. Anthony and gregg were great friends despite what either says. They did amazing things in radio and built a monster together. Anthony knows how Opie is. Opie is backed into a corner where he's got no choice but to defend himself constantly. And all it takes is Anthony to be a friend and reach out. If Patrice didn't die he would have forced them to work out their differences and admit how silly it all is. And it's no secret most OnA die hards are just trolls that feed into anything
