The AASM Sleep Medicine Fellowship Directors Council offers a free healthcare webinar lecture series for sleep medicine fellows and interested residents.
Augmentation of restless legs syndrome (RLS) symptoms by dopaminergic agents is the most pressing and difficult clinical issue facing prescribers seeing RLS patients. Low dose opioid medications are an effective means to address refractory and augmented RLS symptoms which do not respond to correction of underlying aggravating factors or to alpha-2-delta ligands or iron. Guidance on assessment and management of patients with severe, refractory symptoms, including use of low-dose opioids will be discussed. (Recorded August 2023)
