I remember in early 2000 there was a Cheese / Queso cult. Rats doing graffiti on some of the lyrics of their songs. and I was one of those young kids who wore baggy pants and medium size shirts to imitate the bands' pormahan. ano paman, kaming mga DAGA ay laging gutom para sa Queso.

I like this band, kaya lang i think they're overrated, they didnt write enough materials, unlike slapshock and greyhoundz. Ndi man lang tuloy naten nakita/narinig kung ano ung evolution ng music nila, people support them out of nostalgia na lang

Overrated just because they didn't write enough materials? padamihan pala ng kanta basehan? (walang logic or atleast have an objective/subjective explanation as to why you think they are) kinompare mo pa talaga sa slapshock & greyhoundz, sila2x nga pioneer ng nu metal dito sa pinas. don't compare kase they're off the same breed & timeframe when they came out. Respect & Support. You like them but they're overrated? Total contradiction. 😂 Ang labo mo. Haha

Fair point. It was explained in one of their interviews na they really take their time sa pag gawa ng materials especially now na independent na sila. They now preferred quality over quantity. Mas pinipili nilang hindi mag madali sa pag put out ng materials kesa may bago nga every year pero mid naman. I understand your sentiments tho. Thanks for watching!

​​@@geekylabsph Appreciate your feedback & explanation po sir, which in retrospect validates my 1st hand memory at experience ko when I asked sir Ocho back then as to why matagal or wala pa silang new materials noon. Met him the 1st time & had the pleasure of spending time with the whole band way back in 2003 the 1st time they played in Dumaguete. In fact I was already listening to their 1st album in '99 as I was a college freshman. Una ko pang nabili kanilang album, not so long after Greyhoundz, then finally Slapshock -- 1st album pa ng lahat. Also, to put it into context. I'm from Davao City -- back then may NU107 din kami so I was pretty aware of the new & upcoming pinoy rock bands. I just wanna put my side of the story into perspective, because of Queso I was lucky enough to get to know & be friends with brod Biboy & Robert dela Cruz( kase sya na ang drummer ng Queso that time, & formed a bond agad kase brods kami sa (Triskelion) -- inuman/smokeout/foodtrip sa hotel na tinutuloyan nila that time. Syempre, a lot of stories shared & exchanged coming from each & every member ng Queso that I will forever cherish. --(kung hinde dahil sa gf ko back then & is my wife & mother of my children) like asking the hotel frontdesk if we can visit the band, & we did. I would never ever had the chance to create a memory together with the band. Also, a lot of years had gone by, I got to see Ocho the 2nd time the year 2010 (August) -- 1st ever gig ng Franco sa Dumaguete officially as a super band. We didn't lose the connection we had the 1st time we met. Naalala nya agad ako even my name. After that gig. I went back home sa Davao, around October of the same year (2010). First ever gig ng Franco dito sa Davao sa Jickongs Bar sa Torres street. I didn't go but my neighbor who attended the gig was lucky enough to be invited after party gig. Contacted me kase they needed weed. Luckily dami kong stash that time, went to the place they were staying, & 3rd time kami nagkita ni Ocho, napasigaw sya FUCK! bro! andito ka na naman sa Davao? ano ka time traveller? Yun! Alak & smoke out sesh with the suspetsados. The last time ever nagkita kami ni sir Ocho was back in Dumaguete again year 2011 August. And to this day, we are both still connected via msgr. Sadly, I lost my only QUESO tshirt merch na bigay ni Robert dela Cruz saken circa 2003. Yung kulay light blue na KRAFT EDEN CHEESE inspired design. QUESO - "masarap, masustansya, maingay" isa rin akong daga habambuhay.. 🤘 I hope my story explains my narrative.. They're not overrated.. They are one of the OG pioneers of modern metal sa Pilipinas. My intention is not to brag, I'm just privileged enough to have this experience. Even my wife support & like their music kahit not her genre of choice. Salamuchos! Amping tanan! Padayon! 🤘💪

@@LeaFarNas802 like i said, i like them i wouldn't mind listening to them, they actually good live, pero when it comes to evolution ng music, wala tlga eh parang unfair lng kc parang nagpapakaplaysafe cla at ndi cla nagrerelease ng bago d kagaya ng houndz lumalaban pdin at ng slapshock n chelsea alley n ngayon, d k siguro musically inclined kaya ka nalalabuan, d rin ako nagtataka bt mas focus c tayao s Wilabaliw, kc they're better musically.

They may not be "Eraserheads big" considering their type of music, but with the numbers of views their getting here on YT alone, I can confidently say that for a heavy metal band: Yes they are THAT big.
