Fcpx is what most of the people I know use because its less steps

I think it should be some glow and light tint on him toward the direction of the explosion

Hi. I am creating something like this in few weeks time. I am just finishing the storyboard. Just 2mins scene. May I seek guidance from you? I have skills with premier as this is my work but for after effects, around 2/10.
